Regarding Wesker’s :qcb::atk::atk: as a part of a DHC glitch combo.

My question is, what is Wesker able to combo with after the DHC, ive seen :df::h: link cr:m: :s:, but I have alot of trouble with that link so Im wondering if there are any other options?

Hey guys I’m having a crapload of problems against Zero, Ammy, Chun, Wolvierine and Spencer. If you any tips on how to deal with them, I’m all ears.

My main teams are Wesker/Hsien-Ko/Magneto and Taskmaster/Wesker/Magneto

I’m fairly new with Wesker and I’m wondering about cobra strike, dash, otg i can’t seem to get the otg to hit what am i doing wrong? thanks

Patience… My friend mains zero and he rushes me down to no end. Pushblock the 2nd hit on Shippuga, if he’s got a charge, they can shoot it after anticipated pushblock, but if they don’t, the last it of shippuga will whiff, free dmg from then on.

I had him chip me down to 10% life, and when I saw the opportunity, took out 90% of his life with one combo

My question is quite simply, what does Wesker say during Maximum Wesker?
“Mortals (insert something else here) mean nothing to me!”

I think it is “Mortal soul you mean nothing to me”

EDIT: Actually after listening closely he doesn’t say that… now I want to know too lol

Ahh I see. I always thought the sound clipped. Wesker has some cool quotes.

A vs sent question can Wesker do anything to punish his launcher on block and does he have any options other than block vs the frying pan? Notice trying to go air to air usually doesn’t end well.

I like what he says when you DHC him in: “You will not survive–you mean nothing to me!”

Against Sentinel just spam the airsoft gun. Mix it up between ground and SJing shots. Shit destroys Sentinel.

So in short your saying don’t bother trying to get in and just try and gun zone him.

I would say just staying away from Sentinel in general is a good strategy yes.

I’ll try that next time. I tend to like to rush down a bit too much most of the time.

Yeah rushdown doesn’t work against Sentinel unless u catch him making a big mistake. The only way to mount an effective offense on Sentinel is to do a lot of half rushing and blocking and providing you dont run into anything get into a range where you can instant overhead and use normals/specials that blow up his hyper armor to get in. It helps if you have a character like Zero that can zip across the screen really fast when he whiffs something to get close.

Wesker has enough tools to not have to play completely defensively against him though. As a matter of fact your defense can basically start your offense. Using grounded shot if you think he’s going to take to the air or fly to knock him out can give u a teleport combo and wave dashing under him while he’s jumping or flying and going up and air back throwing him isnt’ bad either. At the same time though the fact that he can’t crouch your gun, has to fly really high to get away from your stand gun and pretty much has no way of closing the game against super jump backwards air gun, M teleport, air gun, H teleport, rinse repeat is good reason to stay away. You could also try using H tiger uppercut to counter a mouth laser if you’re like a bit outside of his c.M range.

Do characters fall at different speeds on this game? Or is the hitbox messing with me? I swear I can’t connect cr.:m: after a hard knockdown on Iron Man, I have to link cr.:l: before cr.:m:, then It’ll will work.

Is this common knowledge or what?

I want tips on general play. What is the mindset to have when playing not only Wesker, but MVC3 in competitive play?
I’m more used to a slower paced 1v1 game like SF4 or ST. I’d like some tips on playing this totally new game that not only seems fast paced, but has a whole bunch of (subtle) stuff going on at the same time.
Like for instrance, if someone like Ammy is just attacking you against the wall, how do find an opening against something like that? Or superjumping. I use Chris and Haggar as a part of my team, and for both characters I have no idea what to do when someone is superjumping all over the place.

Any tips, advice, or just general concepts about the game to help me understand how to make myself a better player would be appreciated!.

Yeah this was talked about a while before. It’s only Iron Man and it’s probably more of a hit box thing than anything. Bigger characters tend to fall faster and and push farther away from you during combos than smaller characters. Which is kinda ironic since they already have big health protecting them.

This has probably been asked before or is lost in a thread somewhere, but has anyone been able to combo off wesker’s lost in nightmares lvl3 hyper? I use wesker/doom with molecular shield and i notice that i can OTG gun shot to doom assist(messed around today and found it out but i have to leave and don’t have time to mess with it). Just wondering if anyone has developed more elaborate combos to continue the damage after the lvl3 hyper?
