This is just me speaking here but I would really consider quitting the job, I remember when I was working at the warehouse and my hours were really weird (I was putting in a SHITLOAD of overtime and my check didn’t reflect it). But, back then I needed work until I found something better so yeah.
You asked about how warehousing/logistics/forklifting jobs are right? I’ve been there bro, so I can tell you what I know from what I’ve seen. Most warehousing jobs well expect you to be forklift certified in order to operate that type of machinery, but MY warehouse didn’t give a shit about that. They just put whoever’s ass that hopped on the muthafucka first lmao and he would be the forklift guy for the rest of the day (or a few hours at least). But I’ll say this though, forklift experience are damn EASY to get. Really, you can get that shit anywhere even through retail experiences (of course it’s better to have the actual certification slip than without it). More than likely, you’re probably gonna be doing pallet lifting, shrink wrapping, and stacking crap maybe as tall as you. Sometimes there’s gonna be trucks that need unloading, toughest shit ever your first go. “Work smart, not hard” really applies to warehousing because it can tired your ass out pretty quick. But you won’t have to put up with no customers, which is a MAJOR plus especially around this time of year. Definitely try to jump on the forklift if they don’t ask for certification, my friend got paid like 15.00 per hour uncertified just learned through Walmart retail and applied what he knew from them.
Do not work for McDonalds, I repeat, DO-NOT-WORK-FOR-MC-DONALDS! Waay better off with Dave, McDonalds is always hiring because most of their employees quit the first weeks in over the bullshit. The most rudest customers ever go there. Get a retail job, like BCF. It’s slower than Walmart and Target and you’ll probably end up a lot happier there in the long run. Retail requires GED/HSD but nowadays they are letting people slide by especially since it’s holiday time and need the extra workers. As long as you can at least work a register, you can land a retail job.

I’ve worked for McD’s twice and…well, a guy with less luck than me would most likely be in jail with the boss’ severed leg still hanging from his mouth like an unfinished Thanksgiving feast. I don’t know if it’s in their Mangagment manual or something, but it’s like you must endeavour to be the BIGGEST pile of shit asshole to the people who are there trying to do a good job. The shitbags? No worries. They can take it easy as long as there is someone there trying to actually do a good job. I still wanna shove more than half the people I worked with down the stairs. Even though I don’t need it, I might snatch up some part-time work myself. Thankfully, I’ve got a buddy in Wal-Mart and best buy so I should be able to avoid most of the BS. Still, Black Friday. I won’t be up in that shiet!!
