I would prereg for everything but I end up running out of money too frequently to guarantee showing up.
People might be preregistering at Pownz without posting here, because they have that deal going on in store. You might want to see what people are signing up for there?
Nope, we go to triOS College just down the street from POWNZ.
I personally am only interested in the SF IV tournament. I don’t know how I will fair up and the prize money is just a bonus. I am more interested in checking out a local place to play and looking for some good in person matches.
As long as you don’t ban the 3P or 3K, I am there. I don’t see it as an advantage, it is almost a requirement for a dpad player. If anything should be considered an advantage, it’s a stick. You can do more with a stick and if you mess up a 3P or 3K on a stick, you have nobody to blame but yourself.
Please clarify if you will be allowing 3P and 3K. This is just a fun even, so IMO any controller and configuration should be ok. Unless you have a custom controller with macros, anything is cool with me.
I tried the Tournement Stick and it is excellent, but have to sell it as an old wrist injury doesn’t agree with the joystick. I am back to a dpad. It is not as good, but the MadCatz one is pretty decent. I hate the wireless though… Anyone seen a good dpad that is USB other than the old Sega controller? I don’t card about rapid fire, I don’t use it anyway. I don’t know how anyone can do accurate timing with rapid fire anyway.
i might go after my exam if RXS is going and wants to lend me money lol
if we bug Razing_ZoZo enough, I can probably get us a second tv to play on for the night, with super turbo or a ps2, as well. last i checked with him it was okay, but that was nearly three weeks ago.
The SE and TE madcatz sticks, which are the official sticks for SF4, have 4 buttons on top, and 4 buttons on the bottom, therby allowing you to map 3P and 3K on a stick as well.
Please note the start time for this tournament. It will start at 3:00pm rather than the 4:00pm we were using in the last couple of POWNZ tournaments. I’d prefer to get this over with with enough time to either get a bite or for everyone to still be able to go out and do something with their evening.
I’m adding ONE more side game. The players can vote for either CvS2/MvC2/3S/A3/GGAC. You can join as many games as you want but the game with the most participants will get the slot. Assuming any game gets 16 entrants, it’ll be slotted regardless and the game with the second most votes will get in as well. I don’t think that’s too complicated but if you can’t grasp it please ask.
I can’t even tell who has and hasn’t pre-registered for SFIV/STHD any longer because it looks like people are just going “yeah I’m going” and now actually telling me what they want to join. If you look at the original post, know that you’re attending, but don’t see your name pre-registered then leave a post SPECIFYING what you’re joining.
MAY 9TH was the day I was planning the next Bleecker tourney. I cant do it MAY 2nd (I wanted to do a SOUL CAL tourney this date but exams) and May 16th Is also too close to exams.
I told people second week of May as well for next tournament on Saturday.
No disrespect to you Nagata but we will go on ahead with our date.
I guess this tourny will just cater to Toronto and Scarborough players since you will have Sauga and Hamilton with you. We are in no way competing with you. This is just the date we have already decided because i’m busy 1st week or may and Dino has exams on and off in the month of may.
