Originally, that may have been the case, but with 7 distinct and unique races now, its hard to stick with that argument. Of course the only one left really is the Tyranids, but until the developers figure a way to fit them into the engine, we will have to wait.
You can already essentially play as Demonhunters if you only build Grey Knights and Chaplains as the SM!
I haven’t played any of the expansion packs, did they add more races? Which ones do they have now?
I actually haven’t really been keeping up with pc gaming since i got my 360.
Winter Assault added the Imperial Guards…Dark Crusade added Necrons and Tau/Kroot.
Chaos is very adverse i should say.
its all dependant on your play style and what type of mix you want.
Each of the Chaos Gods has a different play style for instance my personal favorite is Khorne. the Blood god. He has a champion “Kharn” and gots access to alot more offensive styled demons.
His playstyle is incredibly offensive and with berserkers rushing in alot during rolls they definitely can carve out alot of infantry pretty fast.
Though i cant say much about the other races. i do know there is alot of ways to easily tear through chaos specially against holy types such as the grey knights.
i figure read the codexs and figure out what race really holds your interest.
I haven’t played the table top that much But the eldar seemed kind of broken when i was playing against my buddy that used them.

ive read, the eldar, tau and Daemon hunter books, all fucking awesome.
I’ve got Tau, Marine, Imperial Guard, and Demonhunters. I’ve read most if not all of the others.
So is anyone else experiencing the crazyness that is Tau on Dark Crusade. Ive been playing them now and holy crap they are insane when they spot you from a distance. i do see they are nothing without kroot squads though. their Close Combat is beyond garbage.
I so far completed, Chaos, Necrons, Almost done with Tau Campaign. So far i was able to kill almost every boss with Tau without any Computers taking out another CPU Commander. The reason tau could pull it off easier is because they start in between every single commander…

I got a Chaos Mega Battle Force Set for 80 while it was out in los angeles and the bunker had a cool sale.
OH SNAP SON! for those of you who dont want to click the link, its the single player campaign demo for mark of chaos… so far this game has so many similarities to Table Top Fantasy its almost disgusting but quite sexy at the same time.

Oh, and some good news on the Empire state troops front. Apparently they will be releasing a box of 30 troops (20 state troops, 10 missile troops) for $50 (which is a better deal than the old regiment box) but it will only be for 2 or 3 months.

My painting is terrible. My schemes are always great, but I’m just not good enough to make individual models look good.

Oh, and does anyone play Hordes of Chaos on the TT? I was thinking of running Tzeentch or Undivided and really beefcaking my characters, because as an Empire player first and foremost, I’ve never even had the option to beast out my heroes…

I’m playing Tau campaign, and I was getting my units set up for a rush…when all of a sudden Necro Lord shows up and starts beating on my listening post. I was like “that’s cool, I got kroot and Tau Commander to fuck his ass up”.
Wrong…WRONG!!!
All of a sudden a green bolt comes and flayed ones come out of the gound and rip apart my Kroot, and Nercon soldiers appear out of nowhere, blasting my warrior team to oblivion.
Necrons never lost ANY units as they proceeded to rape my base…:wasted:
