they maybe useful, help out, and fight
but they aren’t leaders making such emotional decision like he did… he is like anikan skywalkers, a little biiiiitch
rick prolly isn’t doing the best thing ever but its not that crazy and he isn’t trying to win the fight for survival in one day.
People like shane are in this show to remind us that we have to kill each other to get what we want to put fear into people so they follow us and think like us.

Shane’s I don’t give a fuck attitude may seem cool, but only for people looking out for himself/herself. Rick, who wants to keep a community and a family, strives to maintain rules and regulations to keep everybody safe. If you had a family to protect, would you want somebody to come in, hold your wife hostage at gun point, steal your shit, kill you, then decide to rape her? Shane is pretty close to doing just that.
No i prefer to beg a faux authority figure to be allowed what i can easily have by closing my hand.
Rick know’s Shane was hitting it on the regular and he’s said nothing.
Not out of fear but love for his wife and best friend.
Shane would end everyone of them to protect Laurie and Carl then Rick which is exactly the mindset a leader need have.
It’s hardly a dont give a fuck attitude he wanted to leave and was begged to stay and he made that sacrifice out of love even though it’s litterially killing him to do so.

I think the problem with rick is he wants to get along with everybody and not do the right thing until a lot of people lose their lives. Think of it this way rick is neville chamberlain and shane is winston churchill and the zombies are nazi germany. shane realizes the threat and wants to do what is necessary to survive while rick pretends everything is fine and you can get along with everybody including the zombies.
What you guys are missing is that if Shane wasn’t alive Rick would have already done that.

Like I said before, the longer they keep Shane alive the more they ruin ricks character. They are doing a bad job of Rick slowly losing his battle with humanity in an inhumane world.
Yeah, that should have been Ricks moment of being a hardass in a new world. But they wasted it on Shane. Now Rick is probably going to keep being head of “We have to be civilized” until Shane dies.
They are doing it wrong, we aren’t supposed to ever think Shane is cool. We should have always thought he was quickly becoming off balanced since Rick came back and destroyed his old life.
Oh yeah, the show is pretty bad like character and drama wise, but at least shane and daryl are there doing stuff. That is basically the entire show to me.
umm, idk how to search this thread but im sure its been discussed before but what did jenner whisper to rick? cause i hear that it was to say his wife is preggo but this wouldnt make sense because rick waited till he found the pills to talk about it.
the cool ongoing theory is that Rick is the cure. Rick died in the hospital.
