So if everyone is affected and all you have to do is die to become a zombie, why aren’t all the old people quarantined? They bunker up all their choke points but leave a big opening within. Old people will die from stress and old age…
Maybe they were, its been 10 months since the outbreak so that’s up in the air.
Speaking of which, the outbreak most likely was an airborne one that spread all over the world quickly. There was never a patient zero, or an centerpiece of the oubreak since it looks like the dead just started coming back to life without anybody realizing it, dying of course from other causes.
You assume that everyone knows this information. Very few people actually do. You’d have to see someone die without getting zombie attacked and stick around for them to turn and kill them, but without the information that they’d turn anyway you’d likely die to begin with. It’s very likely Rick’s group is the only one who knows at this point.

According to deleted scenes, Rick was supposed to go back to Atlanta after the CDC thing screwed up, and meet up with the Vatos. But they were all supposed to be slaughtered and some of them zombified. Rick’s group was then supposed to head towards Fort Benning. Whether or not Fort Benning was going to be a new setting or they would still get sidetracked onto Hershel’s farm idk.

I love Walking Dead since I like Zombie shows and movies, but I thought I would just leave this in here 
Haha! So far season three is bucking that trend.
That was for the first season and a half obvie, and the cliff hangers were never really that crazy.
It was basically zombie blue balls till the last minute and then SPLOOSH, ZOMBIES.
Now every episode features zombies and gore and plot development. It’s great!
And Rick is crazy now and T-Dog is a zulu warrior. IT IS THE BEST SHOW.
I guess the only way to survive in a horror setting as a black man is to go back to your African roots.

I guess they were strangled by the prisoners? If not how did the zombies kill them? I guess they all got bitten on the neck. Or maybe all the zombies got excited and dog piled on them and they simply starved to death.
