HOTD is pretty much an extreme B-rate zombie movie in anime/manga form. I happen to love B-movies, so HOTD is pretty cool, IMO. Shit isn’t meant to be taken serious and it never takes itself seriously. Not for everyone though.

Watched episode 2 of season 3 today. Overall pretty good episode. Black people don’t seem to have a lot of fun in this series. I think T-Dogg had more lines this episode than the entirerity of season 2.

Sure there is a “story” but it’s really just a flimsy reason to show as many zombies as the budget allows. Thankfully the show has a ridiculous amount of viewers and the new producer is a TV vet who knows what he is doing.
It always depresses me when people make stuff that is obviously trying to be as extreme as possible but is trying so hard to be extreme it’s plain because there is a total lack of substance to any of the “epicness”
HSotD is amazing as fuck, only because it’s so ridiculous. I haven’t seen TWD show, but I’ve played the games, and if they’re any indication, HSotD isn’t even on the same plane of existence as TWD. To say HSotD is anywhere near as good as TWD is nothing short of heresy.

It was better than decent. It was in the second half of the second season where the new creative team finally nailed what the show should be. An action drama with zombies.
Now the show has been very entertaining because it knows what it is. I mean no one is going to win an emmy here for their character acting skills but the characters have fallen into neat little roles and do what they have to do to make the show entertaining.
What’s the virus? Who cares, everyone has it and we have to worry about the characters actually being able to eat and not getting bitten by people who were bitten.
Remember when Frank D when ham on the pilot and we were all like “Holy shit, this is going to be the best show ever!” Then it wasn’t and I was like "THIS SHOW IS DUMB, AHHHHHHHHHHH’
