No. Ryu could always beat it out. You must have him confused with Ken.
fwd throw, dash, dash, MK DF dive kick (no delays on dash and dive kick and all DPs on reversal) beats will:
beat Ryu’s lp/mp shoryu, Ken’s lp/mp/fp shoryu, Sagat’s lp/mp Tiger Uppercut
trade with Ryu’s fp shoryu
whiff to Ken’s ex shoryu, Sagat’s fp/ex Tiger Uppercut
lose to Ryu’s ex shoryu
Also fwd throw, dash, dash, ex DF dive kick whiffs to Ryu’s fp/ex shoryu but loses by his mp shoryu.
So unless you, who are saying otherwise, mean mk DF dive kick vs delayed DPs, you are wrong.
That means that ultima’s list is ofc right

That list is correct but ElF is actually easy you just have to know how it works. You cant use any one move to cancel into the tatsu then sweep since you will still be relatively close. Most reliable hit confirm to use on him to make sure you can sweep is 3 jabs or cr. lp cr. lp cr. mp xx lk tatsu.

I’ve noticed that sometimes when I jump in with a HK or a demon flip kick, it’ll sometimes hit as a cross-up. Do any of you guys know the timing/spacing so you can do this more consistently?
Having problems hitting the cross up tatsu. What kick do you use for the tatsu? At what height do you tatsu?
Heavy kick… do it after the apex of the jump. Spacing isn’t hard… just practice.
tons of videos online… watch some tokido matches, he does it alot.
Is there a way to setup a TK crossup air fireball after knocking someone down with an EX Hadouken?
Not that I’ve tried that (atm I just go regular crossup fireball after DF throw lol.)… but with EX Hado not being an untechable knowckdown, I suppose they could just quick rise and screw you upon landing?

Okay, sweet. After watching that video I messed around in training mode and found another way to land tatsu sweep on Abel:
After landing a focus crumple (or a deep jump-in/divekick, but it’s a bit harder to do), walk a slightly into Abel’s hitbox, and link three crouching strongs, canceling the last one into tatsu. This should put you into perfect range to link a sweep. IMO, this not only does more damage, but this flows a lot better than the one in the video since you’re pretty much doing simple plinks. It won’t work in the corner.
Wow excellent find. I actually used that setup after 2 focus crumples on an abel in an actual match today. 3x cr.strong into tatsu into sweep. I even managed to land a third off a direct df dive kick.
Also found it easier to do than the combo in the video lol.
So, I’m not sure if this has been discovered, but after seeing Tokido do lk tatsu and HK Demon Flip kick after a forward throw, I decided to test it and your DF will cross up the last minute.

I thought he was whiffing tatsu to time the safe jump - but you’re saying it also crosses up? Damn.
It works on Abel and shotos, but I can’t get it to cross up on Sagat for some reason.
