Agreed, I love me some VF as well but if it doesn’t come it doesn’t come…sad state of affairs if u ask me though:wonder:.

Just keep sending Sega requests…
I believe in consoles’ R man, I do believe. Keep sending those requests, SEGA can’t be this stupid. <o>
I believe there isn’t a console version in Japan yet either so we might still get the game. Remember, the PS3 version of VF5 was v.B, which was the 1st console release of the game and then VF5 came out for the XBOX 360 with v.C. There was a v.D build in Japan but that was only to add more costumes and whatnot.
If you guys think about it, since v.B of VF5R is coming out in Japanese arcades soon, there’s still hope in a console version in the future, considering the way Sega handled the 1st VF5. If anything, if it’s a Japanese exclusive, PS3 owners should be able to get imports of it with no problem.
BTW, I’m a Jeffry main.
I believe in 5R too, somehow, some way, there will be 5!..R!
Kage main (Should practice again)
I think SEGA is playing smart this time. They want to insure we get the definite version of VF5R. I think they don’t want to pull that PS3 stunt again. And on top of that, SEGA may not do that dumb move a again on releasing VF during the holiday rush. I think this summer or early 2k10 is when R comes out…Hopefully.
this
also you know–as much as I love SF4 and playing locally with ppl, I think if VF5R was pushed it could be big as well. Maybe not as big at first, but build a much larger fan base.

Give us all the features everyone wants…everything from smooth online, lobbies, tournament modes, and the ability to email replays with easy youtube support.
-
Have all costumes that are available in the arcade on the disk without DLC. You can charge us for DLC for other things or more items beyond this. So we have a crap ton of items to customize our character with, color edit, and what does SF4 have?

The music in this game is good. Now this sounds like a fighting game. I hate pansy ass music in fighting games (i’m looking at you MvC2!)
-
Just promote the living fuck out of it as the newest, best fighting game to EVER grace the earth. (Us fans would have to help drive the hype)
Now if only SEGA will actually DO that instead of trying to rape the Sonic Franchise even harder.
Are you “InstantOverhead” at VFDC?
Anyway R really needs to come out, thanks to VF I prefer 3d fighting games over 2d, and so basically if R doesn’t come out I’ll just be on that Tekken.
SF4 is very fun and everything but it’s just not my preferred style of fighting game anymore, though I’m still playing right now.
Also, I was pretty sure VF didn’t exist on srk :razzy:
It seems we have a bunch of VFDCers lurking around here hehe. I have spotted quite a few
Everytime I see this thread bumped I get my hopes up:sad:
I love VF and I definately want to play VF5R on my 360, but I don’t believe we will see this game on the consoles until forever. The popularity of this game outside of Japan (where Tekken is still more popular) just isn’t there
Yeah…
So is there another patch/tweak of the arcade version in the works or not?
Yes, they recently announced that they’re updating the arcade version.
I had honestly given up hope on ever seeing VF5R on consoles, but maaaaan I can’t help but let this tiny piece of news toy with my heart! Maybe just maaayybe they wanted to do this first, and then port the updated version? :amazed:
There’s going to be ANOTHER update? Isn’t there 4 versions of 5 already?
The updates introduce new items and many times balance changes. VF4FT was the most balanced fighting game of all time because Sega balanced the game constantly with revisions and updates.
Are you complaining about balance changes? Not that it matters unless you live in Japan anyways. Sega has taken the game off of the table for porting it is the last news I heard from a Sega of Europe employee :shake:.
No I’m not. I just want the game to come out on console.
Things like this is why I wished never got into VF.
The popularity of the game inside Japan isn’t much better, lol. I heard the console sales did pretty bad for VF5, but I can’t confirm that. I think they’re more into Tekken, but I’m not sure honestly.
I like both, but I got into VF first, so yeah…I like it a little more than Tekken
Eileen main here :woot:
EDIT: Oh, also. I would love to see VF5: R on consoles (especially this year with all of the awesome fighters that has come out and will be coming out), but it’s not looking good. I think this might be another Final Tuned and we may be sitting here just hoping for the best and to have something really awesome and balanced to play, but we’ll never get it (unless of course…we go to the arcade).
Me too, man, me too. :shake:
