You’d think that with the base already built it wouldn’t be that hard to port. I mean, R is just 5 with new content. Of course, I’m not a programmer so I could be completely off.

Hope they are just waiting for this SF4 crap to die down. It ought to be pretty fast since the game is pretty limited to begin with.

It’s shame they only show a few of the moves and very basic combos but it does show them at 60fps which you can’t normally see in match videos. It’s got the best animation in any fighter ever.

This game deserves a console release. I don’t have a chance to even see this game in person, only the youtube vids.

The site seems like it’s geared to beginners to show off the simple stuff to get started. Been about 6 months since R’s release, but still, it’s very nice regardless.

And no comment on Taka’s :r::r: P+G wall throw.

Damn, I wish I knew of a VF scene here in Orlando. VF5 is currently my favorite fighting game as of now. Too bad R stands a slim chance in hell of ever getting ported here in NA…

^^Thx alot bacardi. My only great competetion is one of my good friends. And he doesn’t even have the game. But we get some great matches and have about 25 replays saved on my ps3. I ask anybody else if they play VF and they look at me like im a witch or something…

LA over on VFDC has some potentially good news on 5R port, cross posting per his request:

I went to karaoke tonight with my friend from sega japan who has some serious clout and pretty much told him everything I wanted to tell him about how we all want VF5r. I talked all about the VFDC community, how hardcore the members are, travelling thousands of miles from europe and australia for gatherings, etc and he was really surprised. He also told me that the opinion box that we’ve been sending emails to DOES work and every employee at sega including marketing and management gets those mails. So… If you want VF5r, KEEP SENDING THE E-MAILS but… make sure they are different names and different IPs as there is an IP filter. He also told me that there is a development conference which will include sega japan, sega europe and sega USA and all the head honchos will be there to discuss what games will be made in the next 2 years. My opinion, if you guys really want R is to keep going with the emails but make sure you arent just sending 10 or 20 emails from the same IP with the same name. Also, you dont need to paste any japanese. Just ‘virtua fighter 5r PS3 or xbox’ is good enough. Lets try to get as many countries involved as possible. Thanks in advance, guys and gals.

Make sure to hit the send button on the second page as well. There will be two yellow boxes and the one on the right is ‘SEND’.

Also, send as many as you can from different IP addresses as Sega has an IP filter.

VF5R on consoles would probably mean I would have to quit my job and never leave my apartment.

I hope they don’t bring this to console and then announce a FT version of VF5. That would be like SEGA tho’.

I almost have my hopes up for this game to come here again…
