Why isn’t any Jacky players using Slide shuffle, short slide shuffle, and side slide shuffle?
Edit: I’m not sure about the Side slide shuffle. Need some clarification on that.
Ver. C Sarah has some very big upgrades. K+G being full circular is a godsend since it gives her another (and safer) option to beat evades other than her sweep. It being full circular also means more set ups to Flamingo and the situation it gives when it hits is deadly.
Flamingo K no longer gives you BS advantage on hit anymore meaning the whole basis for Flamingo is back, IE you enter Flamingo at advantage, your opponent low jabs, you pwn them with Flamingo K. Flamingo K is now +8 on normal hit and +11 on MC meaning you get a free PK on counter hit. Pwnage.
She has other minor stuff like 6K+GK giving you a deadly sideturned situation, down attack problems like 61P+G being fixed, and 9K now consistently launching. 2kk comboing on anyhit/delay.
Also Jacky players will use Slide Shuffle/Side Slide Shuffle depending on the their style. Yosuke (3rd place EVO) doesn’t use Slide Shuffle a whole lot but does use Side Slide Shuffle. Shin uses Slide Shuffle more in comparison. Some don’t use either a whole lot and prefer their normal movelist. It’s a matter of style, preference, and necessity. Side Slide Shuffle is only a trick to beat retaliation attacks and force either the mid to high knockdown or a 0 frame throw. Slide Shuffle is to force a whiff and make your opponent guess between very high damage mid attacks or a really hard to see low knock down kick or a 0 frame throw. Problem with all of them is you can evade all the options so you need to know when to use it.
Yes, you can have the commentary off during play and watching replays on the PS3 version.
You can even set the commentary to Japanese. Change the system language on the PS3 to Japanese and bam, Japanese commentary.

I don’t think Goh needs changes, he’s fine as is. I mean just watch Akape rape dudes in the SBO vids. It’s sick! Goh does plenty of damage now, has plenty of ways to land the damage, and still has his sabaki game. Add in a strong throw game and you can’t go wrong.
Sarah, Aoi, Jeffery, and Lau needed the beefs though and Shun, Pai, and Kage needed the nerfs.
PS: Shoo, get over here man. You should have seen Itazan tear people up with his goh. It’s DISGUSTING! So much damage.

Hey Shadowcuz, you should probably look for Renzokuken (who got 2nd at EVO west and top 8 at EVO finals) or KTallguy who I think live in the bay area. Go to VFDC and post! They are all pretty cool dudes, and they definately are always up for comp, I’m sure there are others who wouldn’t mind playing some VF up north but I’m not sure.

I use to dislike Jacky in the past. I use to think of him as a basic/bland character. And in all fairness, he is kind of basic. But man is he fun when you feel comfortable with him. Some whack MCs will moan and groan about you using him, but really he’s only advantageous against beginning players. You have to work with him just like anyone else when playing decent players.
Vanessa, I havn’t played, but a couple of my friends do. I feel she got infinitely cooler in 5 as well. Nasty, grimy moves,setups and combos. Huge damage potential but you can’t just toss stuff out without thinking (Much like anyone in VF really lol). She also climbed the ranks in tier listings, being one of the higher ones now. But tiers mean less in this game than any other fighter I’ve played.

I remember playing Renzo up at SF Metreon VF5 launch tourney. I was getting up there until me and him had a close match and took me out. My Goh needed some work at that time 
I do post at VFDC time to time, i remember Sebo planning some gatherings but i dont think it ever happened

that tourney at the metreon was just for launch day for vf5 and was kind of weak because it was all on pad and you had to play default settings.
i remember renzokuken won it with jacky against srider who used wolf or jeffery i think.
but yeah if you guys ever play, shoot me a pm. i need to level up my el blaze.
