I only play pad on VF cuz I got Evo not 5. Is it better to play on a stick than a pad?
I feel it is. Outside of being more fun to me on a stick, the button layout is much easier for me on a stick than a pad. Also hitting directions for moves seems easier on the stick to me too.
What stick do you have? I know pretty much nothing about sticks but I plan to buy one for VF5.
I have a few sticks. For the PS3 stick options, both the VF:High Grade and Hori Real Arcade Pro 3 are great (If you like Japanese sticks. If you need me to explain the difference between Japanese and American styled sticks I can.) For VF5 I have been using the HRAP3 and a custom stick I have. Either work fine for me.
Since you’re playing on the PS2, both the Hori Real Arcade Pro and Hori Real Arcade Pro 2 are great options. And if you plan to get a PS3 at some point, you can use these and other PS2 sticks on your PS3 with an adapter.
Playing on a stick will take some time to get use to, but I think if you were to stick with it (no pun intended…) you’d enjoy it.

yo all, my XBL is Kevin Rian and my regular handle is SH_, I’m the one that got 7th as well as Renzo at Evo World and got 2nd at evo north behind YOSUKE (who got 3rd at evo world), I play Brad, and will be playing Fei once I get a chance to practice wit him (dual main FTW) but yea, I’ma be on that game like Juicy G on fried chicken so yall should holla at a nigga when applicable cause I do love the game and am willing to do w/e I can to help a nigga out wit they stuff…

I still wish our top two could have made it for EVO They placed top 10 at the last EVO which had VF4. Really wanted to see how they’d do this year.
I’ve heard of Junosynth and TXLion, it would have been cool to meet them. Perhaps next year if we make it back to EVO or SoCal just holds a big tournament like last time.

I’m pretty sure on Oct 30th, a seal will unveil on your arm, kinda like Jin Kazama’s tatoo. And it’ll be a slick looking VF logo. Then you’ll be SPODing and TFTing people IRL. It is meant to be.
Lot of us, including them are planning to go out to SoCal for that spring get together. Hopefully we’ll all be able to meet up and enter a hyperbolic time chamber to play countless matches for infinite time. Or at least a good solid 2-3 days worth
@Comoesa. Cable is better for online games than DSL. Upload speed is equally as important as DL. And really one of the biggest factors most seem to notice is location relative to the person you are fighting. West coast, will most likely not get good games with East, sadly enough.
That interview is pretty interesting. I’m looking forward to the 360 version on Oct 30th. Hopefully the matches won’t be too laggy if you’re within reasonable distance. I’m surprised there aren’t any movies up on xbox live marketplace yet.
