Vanessa’s looking good. And this is making me want to actually try VF. Ohwait…noone to play with.
Sega has started another location test of Virtua Fighter 5. This time players can play at three different locations in Japan and the test lasts for a week. The test started on 2/7/06.
New at the test arcades is a VF Terminal, a kiosk players can update their characters. In the past, people could only update via cellphone or PC.
The new girl is playable. Her name is Eileen. :wonder: Word is Sega will reveal her story at the AOU show next weekend.
Eileen, what about Rey or as he is called here I think El Blaze?
But is it wrong that this game just excites me even though the probablity of me playing it is about the size of a baby coachroach?
Oh yeah and pics would be just super.
Count me in for VF5 rapage!!!
Oh yes bitches!!!
Nice, more clips.
Watch Shou shaking in fear of video game police~
Hmmm VF5 is looking really good. I haven’t really touched VF since VF3, i tinkered with VF4 for a little bit, but since i didn’t have a ps2 or anyone to play against i didn’t bother learning it. Might have to buy a ps3 after all…
ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
That looks NOTHING like the VF I remember. That shit looks like flowing water.
Nice vids. Downloading them now. I wonder how casual gamers will react to a game like this when compared to a fluff cinematic game like Fight Night 3. Imagine if VF5 created an actual VF scene in the US.
On a side note, I always wonder who the bitches are on filefront who give so many of the vids low ratings. It’s like the opposite attitude of e-bay where everyone is the best ever.
looks and plays like vf4 from those vids. I was hoping for something innovative like they did with vf3, bah
looks cool
randomloser: there are new features in vf5 like the sway technique for instance. saying it looks and plays the same as vf4 is like saying all the sf games play the same or something. besides, nothing was wrong with vf4 anyway, if it aint broke, why fix it? also that “innovativeness” that you speak of in vf3, didnt work out so well. game got inconsistent and a little stupid at times…
Wow!This game is looks amazing!Any1 knows when this game is gonna hit the states?hopefully when it does, ctf will have a cabinet.
Lindbergh price is $5000 for Hardware+Game. JP Cabinets are $4000 or VS $8000.
I liked the innovation in vf3, I wish they would bring them back
Specify what you mean. The only thing I can think of that I want back from VF3 is Taka-Arashi.
dodge button, uneven surfaces. realistic weight added to taka at least, no proper 10 foot toss on that fatboy.
VF4 is a great game, but to me they kinda played safe with it by making a superior vf2. Dodge button made the game feel more 3 dimensional
There are still evades in VF4, and the failed/successful evade system is one of the best things to happen in 3D fighters, period. VF4 on the surface may seem similar to VF2, but they are worlds apart in terms of the way guessing games are implemented. In that sense, VF2 is much, much closer to VF3 than 4. The throw range/execution change in VF4 made the game very different.
Dodge button was actually pretty unwieldy(and is just one more point of failure would it stop working. Also, have you ever played anyone in Tekken who had sidestep set to a button?), uneven surfaces led to jacked up combos(just like there are semi infinites in DOA with a lot of people on inclines), and the realistic weight thing was almost done right in 3, but they could fix that. Although Kage doesn’t NEED the TFT, it defines him so well. He could just do the Tomoe Nage on Taka if necessary, hell, he has it already.
