How to download from hk-vf.tv
Most video links will launch the movie in the embedded media player, but if you wish to download the movie to your computer for your own playback, then you’ll need a download program that can record streaming movies, such as FlashGet, and follow these easy steps.

  1. Right click on the movie link and copy the link address

  2. Paste the link into your stream recorder software:

javascript:callleftvideo(‘mms://www.hk-vf.net/movie/some_movie.wmv’)

and delete the front and end parts of the link so that only the mms address remains (the part shown in bold):

mms://www.hk-vf.net/movie/some_movie.wmv|

  1. Download away

Some other sites for VF5 media.

http://kakomubi.zenno.info/sn/upload.html ---- Adds new vids daily, grab the later ones first as they go out of rotation

http://www.popy.tv/niigata/page004.html ---- They add new vids periodically.

http://www.a-cho.com/ac/mov.html ------ Unfortunately, a-cho updates and deletes movies on a semi-weekly basis, you will have to check the site or VFDC when updates come.

umm

if you live in SOCAL and want to get into playing some good competition in VF5 then follow the link below and introduce yourself.

How’s the guide for this game? Shitty and uninformative? All the ones at EB are shrinkwrapped so I can’t open one up and check it out before I buy it. Did Mr. Wiz help with this one? If so, i’ll get it.

I have the Bradygames guide(which i won from participating in a VF5 tourney) and its pretty informative. The basic section mainly teaches you the basics of the game CD, ARM, Wakeups, Throws, etc. The advanced section teaches you about frames, hit properties such as MC/mC, fuzzy guard, throw clashes, etc. The character section has strength and weaknesses, tips on how to play them, useful moves, comboes, and of course a movelist. Sadly theres no frame data. Overall, its a pretty good guide.

btw, im loving the 0 frame throws, makes Goh more beasty:lovin:

I don’t know what the hell I was thinking about. There isn’t even a prima guide. I meant brady…I don’t fool with guides too often. I’ve been seeing vids of a lot of people using Goh. Glad he’s gotten better. He had some rough spots in evo, but I used him anyway (for a while).

It’s fun huh? Sounded horrible to me at first on paper but in actual play the 0 frame throws and clash system seem great.

After playing VF5, i need to rework on Goh. Its freakin hard trying to bait throws and his mixups arent very good:wasted:

But at least Goh is more playable now. He was awful in Evo. Too slow and his throws did sod all. Now he has a game.

Looks like for right now, I’m just gonna have to get me a copy of EVO and play VF5 whenever I can :wonder:

That’s true. It’s all about F, F, K lol. Shit turns them entirely backwards and crumples them on counter hit.

Ha. Looks like you know your ish. I can’t wait to see that money match between you and Issak on Saturday. Should be fun :wgrin:

Look for me in the game guys…

Character Name: MarkManSDT
Character: Lion
Rank: Veteran

^ word? you better not destroy me

WTF I WANT THIS GAME!!! :annoy::crybaby:

The Evolution rules allow in-game menu macros (so using the shoulder buttons like that is ok. even I do that!) , but they dont allow hardware macros (like using rapid-fire for buttons or programming button presses for easy access to supers and difficult moves!). I guess its all good!!:bgrin:

just got home with my copy. I’m liking Akira’s new stuff. I hope everybody got some worthy improvements like this. They kinda simplified him though…at least it seems that way.
