The Ultra Inevitable Street Fighter V Story Thread

Problem being exactly there, “at least conceptually”

Necalli got direct huge inspiration from JoJo’s Kars, but he’s nowhere close to him, neither as brain or fighting prowess

Necalli COULD have been a great SFV Boss, but they (capcom) sacrified that potential to make him filler shit lower than true bosses

G on other hand can still be saved

I don’t believe he have what it takes to be SF6 Boss, nor that SF6 should born with the duty to solve SFV’s unsolved shit

But G can work perfect as filler arc Boss in a 2nd chapter general story, something SFV really need… because again i will prefer 6 to have it’s own stuff to do

Another good thing at this point i’m glad they had Gill beating his ass → downsizing him as a lesser (or just not as high) threat, maybe this can allow “smaller heroes” (read not-Ryu) to get a spotlight against him, just before timeline finally approach SF3 beginning

If they do all right they can still save both SFV story as a whole and G as possible Boss, elevating him to what was Seth in 4

For Necalli is too late i guess
I mean, his power is something designed to quickly grow to immense potential with an easy story explanation (him absorbing one or more fighters), but at same time i feel he had his run and wasted it
I mean they can find a way to have him go

a la Ogre → True Ogre

but the hype of first trailer is gone
In one single game we seen him get his shit beat by Sim, Bison, Rog(lol), Ryu, Akuma… hard win back invincible aura at this point lol

G at least seem to have still his hand full of cards, as his plan and goal have still to be explained
And if the result of his fall is as i guess is going to be him becoming Q (courtesy by Secret Society) he will fit right into SF3 timeline

Anyone heard of/own this SF3 manga?

Thinking about getting it on ebay. Is it any good?

I was thinking for Ingrid.

Here is my spin and playing with Ingrid.

I think I did before something like this before but this time. I think I could make her more embedded naturally to the current SF mythos and not a decendant.

images - 2020-02-19T003146.734

If there would be an Ingrid 2.0 not the actual 1:1 Ingrid in A3, Since I doubt Capcom would insert that exactly from A3.

Origins and Backstory

I would used the Black Moons in ASF as a very important part of her narrative origin.

That would cause her involvement in future street fighter games.

images (74)

So her being just recently involve and late appearance would make sense rather than just appearing out of nowhere and being involving in everything in the future.

Like I did with Asura decendant, the Black Moons triggered cause her to have sudden access to Psycho Power or awaken a version of Psycho Power but with a slight difference from how Bison harness his. (Not Soul Power)

download (16)

What she had is natural and pure compare to what Bison had, She doesn’t need a Psycho Drive (which Bison is dependent) that and doesn’t need to worry about replacement body and deterioration like Bison.

She is very much likely close to what the original Ingrid is by the age along with visual representation the radical change was her backstory, motivation and origin compare to the two incarnation of her in Capcom fighting Jam and SFA3.

She is an otaku, cosplayer lolita, and IDOL like Athena in KOF but not a decendant or part of bloodline.

She is also a had background with ballerina, Ice skating and gymnastics that can affect the way She fights.

So her background is not similar to Karin or as rich and influential as Karin. While the origin of her Psycho Power isnt similar to what the Dolls and Clones were introduce into. Since they are forced while her is natural.

Personality/Character

She is innocent, optimistic, cheerful and childlike individual. Like a Kula and Sylvie Paula Paula (in KOFXIV) but not also victim of experiments like them. So she won’t ever be Karin 2.0 or Kolin 2.0.

Fighting Style

She everything and very much whatever version of Ingrid people had know for interms of moveset.

Her personality and character would now reflect the way she is animated when fighting, she whatever Ingrid people would think about.

Yet she bad problems with her power management or harnessing her energy, like Bao is in KOF.

Relationships and Character interaction

When the moon activates, Rose senses another or other individual that awakens with a different kind of Psycho Power. Something that is pure and natural compared to Bison

So Rose seek and tried to find that kind of Psycho Power, She sense and would lead her to Ingrid and the two would finally met.

sfa2rose9

This is the reason why Rose leave Menat and would later return and introduced Ingrid to Menat as her new student and ally that she would help her manage her own Psycho Power. She would later had a friendly rivalry with Menat.

Fang would later attempt to kidnap her after knowing Rose had her as a student but the attempts were failed because her version of Psycho Power only makes those that are infused Shadaloo Soldier be nullified from Bisons version of Psycho Power.

Fang also experimented with objects that manage to contain some few of her Psycho Power from a blasted Cyborg Monitor and use it to a Psycho Drive. The interaction with It causes the Psycho Drive to be destroyed and broken. So Fang abadonned the idea of holding her captive and expected to be used for Bison return.

Since I believe this is unlikely for her to ever appear in future SF games that is regardless of her fan demands. Especially her SFA3 and CFJ incarnation.

Yet I consider and prefer here more to return as part of a Street Fighter Dreammatch game or a non-canon SF title, to act like the Future Warrior or a guardian of SF timeline like in DB Zenoverse. She is better in non-canon games.

or be for whatever crossover game title like another mahvel or whatever franchise would strike a deal with capcom in the future. Where she can be what her fans always wanted her to be rather than a toned down version of her to fit the SF canon.

All Necalli needs to do to be saved is successfully consume one character. And the resulting increase in power, and intellect(which the devs said his V-trigger represents) could make him formidable again.

Maybe that’s G’s real narrative purpose. To serve as a powerful, yet goofy, boss figure. Only to get absrbed by Necalli to create the true final boss.

Alternatively, you have him consume Gill eventually, but that won’t happen in SF5.

He needs to consume Kage they are better be as one character like Eddie Brock with Symbiote as Venom following Ryu.

In that end that the two(Kage and Necalli constantly battle for control with Necali body. Yet would team up when confronting and meeting Ryu. That they would center and focus themselves later for future games attempting catch Ryu rather than other individuals.

As for the main antagonist, I would prefer a new Fang upgraded version that summons minions and shadaloo cyborgs as assist in the fights, Since he has the shadaloo resources for disposal and command.

Like Ultron in MVCI

Why Fang not G or Necali?

Fang as main anatagonist final boss makes sense for other SFV character to confront him and face him. The build up and the whole plot especially from those that are involve in SF2, SFA and ASF storyline.

Necali was like just no sense for other characters to seekout to unless they came across him(Necali), while for G is also like if they seek him out just to challenge him(G) like what other individual story done so far.

Gill are Urien are also huge potential but for its to early.

Yet we can consider Urien as part of witnessing something monumetal Chun li has done. That would later explain a callback and would be reference to what he would remark Chun li in the future from 3rd strike.

Interesting thoughts yet it sad that we need to loose G for Necali. G is a interesting new character in sfv to be sacrificed for Q which I said earlier this in the more earlier comments and so it would be the same with Necali.

I dont mind two filler characters like Necali to Kage merge, I have said this before. Since they are both edge lord and targeting Ryu. Their roles are finish other than just being existing filler characters that devs attempts for SF4 Evil Ryu replacements. Now after their major roles they can be now optimize as singular pseudo SF4 Evil Ryu selectable instead of returning SF4 Evil Ryu that would make Ryu obsolete again.

Yet still not a main final boss antagonist material. To motivate other characters to confront him unless there is a world threat or seeking revenge.

Ugh, no. Hell no. Necalli had potential and fit in with the “World’s in chaos, we all gotta get the heroes together!” scenario, but now Shadaloo’s over and everyone else has gone their separate ways, there’s not going to be the same impact seeing him again for the second time and not having something drawing all the main heroes together. Plus, like Cestus said, he’s gotten beaten way too many times that it’s lessened his terrifying aesthetic. Also, G’s got tons of potential, making him a sacrificial lamb just to boost Necalli is a waste.

With G, love him or hate him, he’s got a mystery going, he’s fun to play and has the possibility of setting up a new evil faction that’s NOT Shadaloo based, thus has the potential to inject some freshness into the villain roster especially if SF6 quickly and firmly wraps up the Illuminati arc.

From what I know of it, it’s mostly a gag manga.

“mystery” is not a positive for a character! Mystery is just an absence of storytelling!

They fact that they made a lame fucking character and then didn’t tell you anything about him shouldn’t make you all excited! It should make you roll your eyes at their fucking lazy, piss-poor writing!

I mean, I’m 100% down with Necalli eating Kage. But that’s not some kinda symbiosis. When Necalli eats you, he just takes your power. It’s not a fusion dance.

If G was returning from SF4 Darth would be creaming himself on having another returning character

Why? Because I want “EVERYONE IS HERE!” to happen in Street Fighter?

I still hate terrible SF characters, even if I still need them to return. Seth sucks. He sucked in SF4 and he still sucks now.

G also sucks. His character concept is the worst parts of Q combined with the worst parts of Gill.

Necalli is fucking awful too, but at least he had some menace to him and isn’t presented as a hobo circus clown.

Only if that’s all there is. Seeds and connections have been planted. Seeing those build is what’s interesting to me.

You don’t like G and that’s cool, but I don’t see eye to eye with you at all. They could have done more and improved presentation, but there’s enough to speculate on that I’ve made two 15 min+ vids. There’s more than “nothing” present here.

Yet there is a very strong supernatural side/ spiritual with Kage existence than a physical since his more of a manifestation of Satsu no Hadou that can try to attack Necali in his spiritual realm. Since Kage is very organic in the spritual realm compare to anyone else compare to the like of Bison and Rose.

Because eating is not actual him over powering automatically since Akuma had been also in his tummy for a few seconds but breaks away.

Daemos also wanted Bison to be eaten by Necali sometime and also take over Necali body. He wants it because he want Bison to live forever and take its powers. But Bison is more better paired with Seth and with more articial machination, plus we already had Phantom Bison that is less complicated after he became that during the confrontation with Nash in the beggining of ASF.

Your theory with Necali and G is very good to acknowledge that it reflects the final Necali of being fiery because probably cause of his fire elemental power acquired from G. Its like he really just eaten someone in that state.

images-15

While G becoming Q is the most natural in the story direction of his character for us, Yet those that are investigating with Q in SF3. Would never relate G to Q existence. Either no one in SF3 ever seen Q fight or had a close encounter with him. As a narrative excuse why they aren’t relate and compared to each other.

Yet will see, if that happens or whatever happens and how this would progress.

Well, as i said you can make him return after one lunch… but the thing is, there’s need at this point?

We got Nec hyped by trailer, V face scar in the V game, supah hypah VTrigger… then they treated him like shit

They CAN resurrect him and be like “be hyped… again”, but i miss the point honestly

Like you i find a waste they played like that the Necalli card, but at this point i find more interessing giving space to somebody like G, who still have to do his run

And just to add, somebody they pointed as “the Boss of SFV” without apparent reason as today

Tbh i think Necalli and G head in very different directions, narrative wise

Tbh i don’t see Necalli in his actual form be able to absorb Urien let alone Gill

The order he got in the prophecy was Ryu > Sim > Bison, for a reason
Like the ASF showed Nec was’nt ready to fight Sim, if before did’nt eat Ryu (the weakest prey due SnH)
And was’nt ready face Bison without Ryu+Sim in the belly (same reason he later failed on Akuma or would fail on G or Gill)

Ryu broke the prophecy
His condition (SnH) was the weak ring of the chain that allow the prophecy to happen, but he changed that

Necalli should’ve eaten Dhalsim (who would’ve died for Ryu) in the first chapter of ASF. That’s all that was needed TBH to legitimize him and his threat in that story. It would’ve made the final battle with Necalli that much more impactful.

Fuck that tbh, Sim is too classic to die like that

Dhalsim is an iconic character and throwing him away for the likes of Necali and etc is waste.

Dhalsim is also one most used character SF because of his gameplay. His like Guile, Sagat and Balrog/Boxer that the importance of there being recurring characters in future SF.

Suggesting trashing a popculture and one of the most used character for a story progression in Fighting Game is a big no no.

Dhalsim isnt like Bison/Dictator, Chun li and Claw/Vega that the appeal to their fans and followers is because of the backstory and origin.

Capcom should just create a Gill minion that harness fire then be killed in off screen, like they did with Rashid’s Friend.

if people is that desperate for story reasons just to see this one time character happen? This?

Its crap sacrifing Sim, one of the most valuable iconic characters for a one time character that is a failed attempt to replace SF4 Evil Ryu?

Yet we don’t need that Necali anymore. Its like were choosing either Sim or G to be consume?

Just let it be Kage so were done closing the arc by merging two character that had very similar design intentions and narrative motivation, even some of there moveset are very edgy.

He’s not gonna die lol. Everyone gets released from Necalli’s belly once Ryu kicks his ass, and they live happily ever after.

Some sick new tech in CVS2.

CVS2 is very much alive!!!

Worst idea I’ve read here. I’d rather take the sheep Necalli than this.

I agree with Deamos on the Dhalsim idea. Necalli looked totally non-threatening in the story mode, if the writers made him “eat” a few characters only to release them at the end of the story once Necalli is defeated he would have at least given the illusion that something was at stake and that he was a threat.
