The Ultra Inevitable Street Fighter V Story Thread

Yeah, I always thought that Getepe probably was a reference to Bison or whatever Bison did to summon Necalli. When Necalli saw the Black Moon, he remembered Bison (possibly experienced the same psychic flash that Ryu experienced at that moment), and immediately left both Ryu and Dhalsim to find Bison. When they meet, Bison tells him “I’ve been waiting for you”, then when beaten, Necalli leaves Bison like the beta dog he is.

Perhaps that’s how Necalli works. When you beat him, you can command him. Bison probably tells him to go and challenge Ryu telepathically or something. When Necalli is beaten by Ryu, Dhalsim tells him to go away, and Necalli just listens.

Could the beast actually be tamed, even if momentarily, once beaten?

I always thought Getepe was some kind of food, like some spicy Aztec stuff, possibly cooked by El Fuerte.

I have absolutely no idea why.

I think it’s much more simple than that

Necalli never was Bison’s dog, but he was still chained to the prophecy

Necalli is’nt being commanded, but he’s angry as fuck (more than scared/humbled he looks frustrated AF leaving Bison) that shit is’nt going according to the prophecy and he’s trying to bend things to make It work anyway

Ryu (meal #1) broke the prophecy by chosing to ask help of all people of the world to Sim (meal #2)

So Necalli can’t attack #1 one-to-one and can’t even try with #2 either… the latter he will have likely failed anyway (Sim will have likely pulled a sf4 Gouken>Akuma on him) without Ryu’s SnH

Only left alone is Bison (#3), so he try to break himself prophecy 123 order and go to him

But he can’t defeat him without 1+2, so he have to surrend to the fact he CAN’T break the prophecy order and go back to Ryu/#1

Problem Is in that time to second clash Ryu removed what made him previously the easiest #1 meal (succumb to SnH), wich broke the prophecy cycle and any Necalli Hope

He can’t eat #1
So can’t eat #2
So can’t eat #3

Him attacking Akuma was made to show him desperate and without direction (prophecy) anymore

He attacked Balrog also, and tried to eat Nash. So he is not chained to the prophecy that tightly. Additionally, his attack on Akuma happened after Ryu x Necalli but his attack on Balrog was before.

Wrong thread, sorry.

Between two Ryu fights he also tried to eat like everyone in the chopter scene… His natural instinct still is eat warriors to get stronger

But eat specifically RyuSimBison and fullfil the prophecy Is his reason to exist

An explanation to attack Akuma could be that after lose to Ryu’s new power he istinctively wanted absorb somebody able to kill Ryu (as SFV Akuma is) but at same time having same “weak point” Ryu used to have (SnH)

Wich Is essentially Garuda>Akuma in SFEX

But (sadly) SFV Akuma showed to be too much and neither Necalli absorb trick or Ryu with new Power could stop him

This reaction… LOL

It’s disappointing. They could’ve added favorites like Mileena and Reptile, and instead we get utterly irrelevant characters.

I like Shang and Sindel. But since I’ve never been a fan of guest characters, MK KP’s are never for me.

The Joker and Terminator are waste of slots. Give me back Smoke, Ermac and Mileena you cowards!

Guest characters are wack, MK11’s joker is legit porn parody tier (if you don’t believe me look it up), but I have to give respect to Arnie.

Spawn is awesome and fits well. T-800 is hype and they clearly actually got to digitally scan Arnie…so that’s all kinds of awesome.

I want Tremor back in Pack 2

I consider MK to be irrelevant, so it doesn’t matter to me if it gets irrelevant characters.

MK is doing lots of popculture stuff regarding DLC, its okay for them since thats what MK is in 90s, gameplay is meh in those era. The only MK I played properly those times was MK3.

I just hope someday this DLC characters would be in one game like a WB cinematic allstar fighting game.

The only MK game competitively worth a damn pre-MK9 is UMK3.

That said, I love the MK characters, lore, setting and tone. Great mash-up of John Carpenter themes and kung-fu movies…my childhood diet.

It’s a shame guest characters keep taking half of the slots of the DLC character packs in NRS fighting games, even though I like Spawn & Terminator. They could’ve added more fan-favorites or at the very least an MK4 character. I was hoping for Fujin (especially after Ed Boon posted a friggin’ MK4 logo on Twitter, though he’s leaked for Pack 2), but whatever.

MK infested by guest characters -> not my problem

I was bothered by T7 getting TWD shit, and i didn’t even bought T7 lol
I bought SC6 and the waifu robot was sad, but my heart on SC6 became cold before that

On other hand, recent great guest stuff

TK7 Geese - godlike
FEXL Terry - great
SC6 Hoamaru - very good
TK7 Akuma - good
SC6 Geralt - good idea poor adaption

As general rule i’m glad SF did’nt got infested by guest chars

If they do a good pick will love see some chars from SNK or TK jump in as guest, but the risk of bullshit is too high, specially considering when they pick a guest, “quality” rarely is theyr first (or second) point

Plus so many SF universe chars i will love to sneak in at last seasons in SFV, waste a single slot will be criminal lol

The only guest characters I’d appreciate in SFV are Billy Lee & Jimmy Lee from Double Dragon, aka the true Chinese martial artists.
But even then they can just add the SF twins.

We have so many cool characters and side characters in SF that adding guest characters would be nothing short of absurd for any reason other than marketing and money.

MK’s greed will be its downfall. They already sell like hotcakes, yet they still pack HALF the season with bullshit guests for easy cash. I can understand 1 guest character, but 3?!
