Yeah… It’s hard because my ultimate goal is to wait for the TRADE, BABY, but there are just a few comics that I feel are worth my 3 bucks a month (and also because I’m hopelessly addicted and cannot wait for the TRADE, BABY). I buy Daredevil, CRIMINAAAAAAAAL!!!11, Madman, The Programme ('cause I was scared WildStorm wasn’t gonna make the TRADE, BABY, but I just saw the latest solicits and volume 1 is on its way), and Nexus and Doc Frankenstein whenever they come out.
Because, I mean, if it’s just Jeph Loeb, I can read that at the store, or wait for Borders to stock it on their rack. There’s no rush to read that weak stuff and definitely no need to spend money on it.
I feel like downloading comics scans could make for a decent thread on its own. Maybe later, if I ain’t too lazy, I might start a new discussion for that topic.

i haven’t dl’d comics in a while. this series is a must dl before buy. but i haven’t found any links to it. (not asking either) i was gonna buy it, but all my lcs had was the villains cover. don’t want that.
^^^better pick one up b4 they’re sold. Probably last batch they’ll recieve without it being a 2nd print. Hard to find any first prints left anymore regardless of heroes or villians gatefold.

I purchased BOTH covers. That’s how pretty the art is. But other than that, the story was ass. And what the fuck was up with Hawkeye being all emo and shit? Yeah man, your family is dead, but shit, relax.
Wizard spoofed it when they had an article with pics of his home and shit. Dude had a modded PSX with the Japanese copy of FFVII. And of course, that’s when the joke began. Fucking Joe Mad.
I don’t dig the coloring in this book. He needs to keep it raw like his old stuff. What ever happened to Liquid?

I only got the heroes cover. That Spider-Man looks so much like his Capcom sprite to me, only younger, and his anatomy is more exaggerated than the sprite. The head’s kind of the same though, especially the way Spidey looks in his MVC2 artwork. Subliminal messages at their finest. :looney:
This makes me sad honestly. I knew the comic would be bad, but I didn’t want to believe it. Since I have so few options to find Captain America these days I was hoping Ultimates was my safety net, one I could always go back to a feel like a good little patriot. Well thanks for fucking that up as well Loeb!
Seriously, he’s going to go extreme. I bet Captain will be like “Fuch these fools” And starts capping people sideways with a 9mm. He will also have a weird relationship with Hawkeye, bet it!
I want to see Falcon join the team, I guess Black Panther is alright. I bet Loeb will try to do a racial G.I.Joe type message issues with Black Panther, and Captain America will say something racist.
