Lightning Attack, not the assist, isnt like a good tool for her neutral game?
Only when covered with assist
Hmm how much meter do you gain with that combo?
If you run Disruptor you can do this:
j.S, c.L, c.M, c.H, assist call, j.H, j.S, ADF, j.S, s.M, c.H, j.H, ADF, j.H, s.M, S, j.M, j.M, j.H, j.S, Hailstorm.
At least I think that’s how you do it. I don’t have the game in front of me to test it out for you, sorry. But if you land the j.S at the beginning then you get 1 full bar of meter gained. And the damage should be comparable to the combo you are using now. Plus you get a nice little situation where you can hit-confirm before calling the assist. If it hits, go into your combo. If not, you can back off safely and maybe do a light or medium whirlwind to protect Magneto. Or you can ADF j.S for a high or ADDF into c.L for a low. People can still block it but you are able to safely go into a second high/low to try to open them up again. Plus Disruptor is better in neutral. Only downside is that the THC isn’t as good.
^^Thanks, I will try that out, although to be honest, I’ve kind of fallen in love with Hyper Grav assist because of the Magnetic Tempest THC, which does so much damage with Storm. I can also follow it up with a Power of Gaia super without X Factor because Magnetic Tempest keeps the character up for so long. If you add Doom THC I get 600k+ straight out of the THC alone, way more than Mags/Doom level 3 alone. Plus on incoming, you can get some cool mixups with it too.
Thc’s in general are stronger than level threes
THCs also give you sweet oki.
Going to update this in a few weeks with some updated combo routes and damage/meter values. Stay tuned!
I played UMVC3 earlier and i played well against my friend
Has anyone learned anything that changes her damage considerably that is reliable? I’ve tried before and I’m trying now. I can increase her damage by about 50k meter-less but to sacrifice execution for 50k on what is clearly not going to kill anyways seems unintelligent?
DHC into Vergil!
Outside of that, I think the highest thing we’ve got so far is double Hail Storm.
Outside of two supers, I think Storm gets to 800K by herself currently? Needs two assists to make that happen, though.
If I’m not going to KO in a particular combo with Storm, I obviously try to set up the best situation on the enemy’s wakeup. Normally, I would say to forgo getting more damage (assuming a standard non-gimmick team) and try to set up a super dangerous mixup game on your opponent’s wakeup, but your request is pretty specific. Are you using Drones? Wait, wouldn’t Drones let you get triple Hail Storm? That might require some micro-dashing, but it should be possible, right?
Mathematically, I’m not entirely sure it’s possible to bring Storm’s damage much higher than it is currently without using some pretty gimmicky team setups. I am a fan of innovation, though, and would love to see this particular barrier on the character be broken.
I am gonna try out this triple Hail Storm and see what’s good. Hmm, this might not work.
I highly doubt you’d get a triple hailstorm. Even with the double hailstorm setup you’re activating within an assist window plus she’s pushed back due to where she’s starting. With drones you are doing the same thing but at a certain distance since when too close you can only get elemental rage due to the distance traveled being shortened.
Word on the street is Nemo is the sleeper at Capcom cup, but he has shown a problem dealing with Storm. How do you guys think both Justin (tournament)and Fanatiq(MoneyMatch) will do against him this weekend?
Also Justin has a great chance to get to the finals but i dont see him beating Chris G( my other predicted finalist) but Chris really seems to have Justin’s number- do you guys think He is playing his storm team to it’s fullest potential against Morridoom?
He beat Chris G at Evo
can someone tell me how to do the input null glitch with storm thx in advance
j.H -->QCB+S+H.
activating it with storm is actually harder than everyone else, it’s just so easy to mess up. If you do it too fast j.S will come out, too high lightning attack, too slow Typhoon. you have to get used to the rhythm of that input.
it’s not really justin’s fault, MorriDoom is very dominant and hard to beat consistently…unless you play Zero.
Nah typhoon and the :s: just means you didn’t hit the buttons properly. The only error you get with Storm is the lightning attack being too high up which still makes no sense since LA has no minimum height restrictions.
Nemo isn’t stupid. I’m sure he has studying the Storm matchup quite a bit. He has the benefit of knowing from his prior ft15 with Justin that Storm is a problem for him so I’m sure he has worked to address it. Does it mean he will win? I dunno. Both are really skilled players.
As for the Fanatiq matchup… I have to bet on Nemo for that one. Fanatiq is skilled but I don’t think he has a better understanding of the game than PR Rog, Chris G, and FChamp who have all lost to him. And Nemo only lost by 1 game to Justin. Fanatiq definitely steps up for money matches but I don’t think he can step up to the point where he would beat any of those players.
well Fanatiq claims that he has alot of new Storm/Magneto tech for this match up. i know for a fact that he finally has the infinites down. I also saw him doing some Mag/Storm crossups. He knows the exact health of strange, spencer and Nova and the combos that kills them. He seems confident, and i know he is currently training at FgTV house.
So… we shall see!
I also believe FChamp is running it back w/ Nemo that day/night also.
It’s gonna be hot, for sure.
I called it xD Fanatiq got bopped.
It was also really sad to see Justin lose to Chris G. I was shouting the entire time “USE LIGHTNING SPHERE!!!” but nope.
