The tech is pretty team reliant, but proves usefull with the right DHCs. Right now I am playing Magneto|Vergil, and Tempest -> Swords is about a 5 frame blockstun-cancel reversal into death from air or ground. Tempest-Hail Storm should also be happy birthday heaven, and it moves the hitbox to safety if the opponent reads it.
Also, using advancing guard to screw with frames while I buffer motions, I’ve managed to punish Spiral Swords lockdown with that DHC and more. AG becomes really finicky when using this though, its like magneto doesn’t give fucks even after canceling as long as the AG is in place. But AG also interrupts motions, so it can’t be activated that last frame or so.
Oh and rayray, this isn’t really for jumping into attacks and punishing, its for shitting on blockstrings and reversing momentum from a point that could lead to magneto’s death. I think Tempest-Swords is better than CCxHard Drives as it takes the moment for the same cost.
why is my magneto so free to mixups? how do you get people the fuck off you with magneto, and how do you get your mix up started on people who just always wanna press buttons that are safe ass shit like wesker?

edit: Seriously though, try using mblast runaway more and lead into to mixups. Force field can be good to mix in if the opponent gets in a pattern, and disruptor can buy time for assists to get out or catch players hitting buttons.
Well first thing im going to tell you is that this is team specific and is meant to be done off a throw at the beginning of the game as thats when it will usually only have the chance to flourish.

grab, dash, jump, ADF + akuma assist(tatsu), j.M, j.S, dash and jump, j.H, j.S, ADDF, j.H, s.H, S, j. H, add j.S, raw tag doom, s. M, S, j.M, j.M, double footdive, st. H, j. M, j.M, double footdive, magneto assist(hypergrav) , st.H xx jump, double footdive, s.M or s.H xx lvl 3 :D:D i know this isnt the most useful for everyone as i don’t think anyone on these forums plays my team(magneto B, Doom B, Akuma B), but i do think that people could start experimenting with j.H add j.S, rawtag.
also i can do a grab, dash, jump, ADF +tatsu assist, let the dash continue a little longer and cross up j.H. this is a really easy reset. haven’t tested it on many charcaters to see if it doesnt work on some though. should work on most midsized characters though. I think anyone can apply this with their team so that they don’t get super heavy dmg scaling on combos.
I need “help” with my team, right now I’m running Mags(disruptor)/Trish(Peekaboo)/Doom(Missiles) but im still iffy about Trish because of her solo damage output, then with a secondary team I know I wanna run Ammy(Coldstar) but not sure with who, I know these are kind of vague, but I’m still fairly new to marvel…And I know this is the Mags thread, but I figured I could benefit more here with the second question because you guys would know who a Mags player would like.
lol this does mainly apply to online and my scrubby friends that play friends online, but every now and then you’ll get some super comfident scrub in the first few rounds of a tournament that dont know the meaning of defence especially when they are in x factor! true story believe it or not i know i a dude who’s admittingly terrible at this game who beat justin by what he said " was not respecting him and just goin in pressing buttons" as scrubs call it

In all seriousness, run Dante or Vergil instead of trish, Trish may work synergy wise with the team (Mag/Doom) but having either Vergil or Dante gives your team that extra bullshit factor that you need to be good team wise
Hey guys just stopping in to let everyone know I won’t be online at my own place for a good while til I can get the internet bill paid (that shit got up to $300…wtf right?). Also on a somewhat related note my financial aid got rejected this semester so I can’t attend college classes til after I gets me a job, but I’m not giving up though cause Lord Swagneto does not give in to that pussy shit.
If you’re already running mags/doom and considering ammy for a secondary team, why not make it mags/doom/ammy? Both of them are ridiculous with cold star, and doom+ammy team hyper basically negates any kind of bad matchup. Also airdash-character plus coldstar: welcome to guardbreak-city! Shitz gettin’ kind of mvc2’ish in here! ^^
