Has anyone been using the cancel through block stun yet, quite suprised that i’ve not seen much about this on the forums, i can make a quick video if people havent seen or know about it, it’s disgusting, especially with a team of Magneto(EM Disruptor)/Vergil(Rapid Slash)/Doom(Mollecular shield).
Or Magneto and anyone with a command grab hyper or power-up hyper like Devil trigger,Spiral swords, Beserker rage.

It took a while but once you get good at it, it becomes very match pratical, why use XF when you can use 2 bars for almost the same effect?

I’ve never watched a thread more than this one, damn I love Magnus, still a scrub, but I love this character for some reason…Two questions, I’m practicing the hyper grav. loop (getting pretty consistent btw) when starting with a addf j.s into cr.lmhs > loops do you still get the same number of loops as just starting with out the j.s, and second what are the max number of loops, 5 right, or is my execution bad?

We can help more if you describe the exact combo your doing into grav loops. Like, are you doing addf j:s: cr.:l::m::h::s: into flight loop or addf j:s: cr.:l::m::h::s: into some other type of swag combo?

Depends on the combo before the corner loop

I’m still learning and haven’t learned how to go from flight loop or any other swag combos into hyper grav. Loop, just doing addf j.s , cr.lmhs , sj. H , addf j.h , st.h xx l. Hyper grav.

Ok, no need to answer the questions anymore, I cleaned up my execution and am buffering the sj. after the L hyper grav. at the right time, and with a piece of paper and hitting the lab more, I realized that I get the same number of hyper grav. loops even when starting with a sj.addf j.S. =D

FinalRoundBats UMVC3 tournament starts today at 4, not sure if I’m gonna be able to make it (ride issues), but IMO some of hte best Magneto’s around will be attending.

im not sure what im doing wrong I can get rom down but for some reason I cant do the hyper grav loops consistently.
Anybody know what might be the problem I know they are not popping high enough for me to get the grav out.

If they aren’t popping high enough you are probably just cutting them short with s.H, try delaying it a little. The other possibility is you are doing j.H too slow, you want to press H immediately after the downward airdash without a delay.

Buff the Sj
when u super jump up forward try to dash to the ground and when your about the hit the ground use H and when u landed on the ground immedialty press H again into hyper grav. when you almost hit the opponent with the hyper grav u buffer downback and when the hyper grav got your opponent you immediatly press up forward and dash down to the ground the to hit your first h very close to the ground so that the second h can connect very fast and smashes your target high enough for the grav to hit and then its only about timing and repeating :slight_smile:

That is very different to how I do it and sounds harder, it doesn’t really require timing if you don’t delay the j.H.

I first buffer the SJ from hyper grav, then delay dash just a little (you don’t have to but it drags them up a little) and hit j.H immediately, this will pop them up quite high, much higher then delaying it. When you land, if you delayed the super jump you can basically hit s.H immediately or with a delay, doesn’t matter too much, if you didn’t delay, depending on how high they are you may need to delay a little and wait for them to reach the peak of the knockdown before s.H. This way the entire thing can be done very lazily, the only thing is that you need to press j.H very quickly, almost plinked. Do that and everything else should be easy.

Considering the sheer amount of people who post with questions about the Grav loop, would it not make sense to have a thread (a stickied one) dedicated to it, the different forms of it and different executional techniques for it?

Its not just the Hyper Grav loop its like everything Magneto related. Stuff like the ROM, flight combos, tri-dashing and all of that. I’m glad to see a surge of interest in Magneto, but I’d be lying through my teeth if I said I’m not sick of seeing the same questions being asked everyday. I mean a lot of the stuff that is asked can be found within 3-5 pages back in this thread, if not in the first post.
