Do you go to any of hte ATL gatherings like BNB or Revival?

Oh word, well if you can get a group of friends together, you should def check out BnB. Its Thurs nights, I’d try to make it out but 3 hour drive is ass on a shcool night. heres a promo vid for it.

I am in georgia and I think they are both good characters but there is a reason why I play mags also dorm is kind of one sided. To me no matter what the player they seem to use the same tactic.

Since mag has one of the best beam assists i wanted to anchor him on my nova/xxx/magneto because i only use doom for missiles because dooms movement is attrocious, but have any of you had success with a magneto anchor?

yeah I just plink dash. its way faster than tridashing for him.

Plink multiple times and itll wave dash for you rather than pressing two buttons then canceling it with crouch. Tri dashes are different.

To give a better example, you tridash with doom but wave dash with Magneto. Doom cant wave dash because he hops forward as his dash.

magneto’s dashing allows for more freedom of movement than nova’s because there’s no noticeable start up when you try to dash, except (of course) when you’re dashing down-back but that’s after the fact of startup (you can attack almost immediately afterward).

if your movement is already decent as you’ve claimed, then my advice would be to work on hit confirms and move up to the swag combos when you’re comfortable enough.

Note: Is this acceptable for a bnb since it can also be done midscreen?

I tried delaying attacks, speeding up attacks ect. I can’t crack it, yet I have always been confident in my execution, I just find this game new and confusing haha.

You have to do jM xx Fly, do jL as soon as possible, then (jHxxdash X n). It’s harder to transition into flight the more hits you get in and the timing gets stricter, the only strict link is the jL, everything else is a piece of cake. For practice try this first:

S, JH xx Dash jM xx Fly, jl, (jH xx Dash) x n

On another note, what is the best and most consistent happy birthday combo with magneto?

That forward back forward thing he’s trying to do was waaaaay easier in vanilla. I fucked around with it back then, but i couldn’t bring it back in ultimate.
