^2months ago I was in the lab doing that shit but didn’t understand how I was making Mag auto correct. I came here and ask you guys, but none of you knew what I was talking about so, I ended up finding that shit out on my own.
Not gonna lie, I never made it a public announcement but whenever someone ask about Plink MBlast I told them about auto correction S. Also, I’m not saying I was the first to discover this out.
i got that when i fucked up plink dash magblast, but I never knew it actually auto-corrected the dash if you did it wrong. This shit is sick!
If anyone is having trouble understanding exactly what’s happening, you’re kara-cancelling a magnetic blast into a dash and then attacking.

Me doing it a wee bit faster. I couldn’t do it, but I’m sure you can super jump into the dash down j.L to make it faster.
yeah, I have a few nasty setups using that tech. shit is just old to me.

How about using the emp (it pains me to call it this but its too widespread. ce la vie.) loop into hard tag extensions? Doom and sentinal work perfectly for this as you can continue it with doom s.M s.S -> 2 air food drive reps (depending on your previous combo, or sentinal doing rocket punch orb xx tempest. Ironically MSS utilizes this perfectly as hard tag sent HSFxxHailstorm nets you like 400k damage or something silly.
Another option is any corner combo xx grav -> hard tag into extension. My team specifically makes use of this pretty well as I tag in morrigan, dp xx titty rockets

Yup. Joker likes to call drones and sj box dash blast on incoming character, but I rather like to either fly or sj. uf and come down with kara 6H for a grab OS, plus on pushblock you have time to -then- boxdash blast -> combo in corner.
I’ve been using the guard cancel repulsion to shockwave/tempest xx shadow servant [or even just astral vision to get mags out safely] , and it is AMAZINGLY GOOD. Been punishing stuff left and right.

I don’t really publicize my findings. Same thing with Infrit yet everyone calls his shit ‘the combofiend’.
Upon working with the repulsion tech a little, I’ve found that multi hit projectiles can be push-blocked early and then repulsion can cancel the push-block. On single hit projectiles you cannot cancel a push-block. (or so I’ve tested with ryu lol)
Example situation: Mid screen vs Xmultihit projectile, call sentinal, pushblock early, repulsion, and combo/mixup off drones being in their face. Usually results in chicken guarding/ sj -> free throw or sj. H into confirm

yeah that’s because you can’t magnetic move cancel (MMC?) a pushblock, but since it’s a multi hit projectile, it goes like
block (hit1) :r: pushblock (hit1) :r: block (hit2) :r: block cancel (hit2)
if it’s just 1 hit it’s
block (hit1) :r: pushblock (hit1) :r: nothing because you can’t cancel pushblock.

Anyway, about finding’s, it’s kind of irrelevant honestly, because of how big and international the game has become. For example, “The marlinPie Doom TACs” aren’t actually completely marlinpie’s, but everyone knows what you mean when you say it. Combofiend and justin Wong are playing Nova Frank now, and that’s sweet, but a friend of mine has been doing that for around 2-3 months now and has way more knowledge of that pairing than them, (HOWEVER, they have much better fundamentals and more experience). Nobody cares that he’s been playing that before, since they’re the ones putting it out there.
In the end, we only use names to differentiate what we’re talking about. The ROM infinite, the maziodyne loop, etc. it’s just to make it easier.

No lie, when I first heard of it as the ROM infinite back in mvc2, I had no clue about the player, I just figured since it was magneto, Range of Motion Infinite kinda fit… lol >_<

Oh right, I read this earlier somewhere about TAC to mags and then ending in tempest. You dont have to do some wonky combo to max height. Just whatever xx fly, L , Hx5, unfly H, M Disruptor xx tempest. works in corner at any height. You can also choose to end a corner combo normally this way via j. H adf j. M xx M disruptor xx tempest, or if the hitstun will not allow a dash, just do S launcher, delayed j.H (let them get a bit higher than normal) M disruptor xx tempest.
