Yo man this boxdash + MB blast stuff is absolutely ridiculous… the lockdown pressure is just amazing alone. Add in Drones though and its damn near impossible to deal with once you start blocking. Think I’m moving back to Drones folks…

Also, settai, since I’ve been discussing it in another mag thread, what do u think of tatsu and cold star as alternative lockdowns? My team is mag doom-b xxx. Drones are obv great, and good for doom too, but cold star, tatsu, and even weasel shot work well as well.

Well you’re not cancelling the IAD with H, but with MB instead. It hits the whole area infront of Magneto so crouching under it is impossible. Its not really a mixup though, its more of a way to setup a mixup. Each blocked MB gives you enough time for a high low mixup. Advancing guard doesn’t help them at all either. When you add drones into the mix you get so many chances for high low mixups its ridiculous. Also if they don’t block the MB Blast then of course you get an easy hit confirm.
As for assists they’re all good really. Cold star is the best alternative drones imo. Heck the only reason I think drones is better for Magneto is because it just gives you SO much time to open somebody and it doesn’t scale damage as badly. I can count on one hand my how many times I’ve seen anyone successfully block Magneto while pinned by drones. In order from best to worst I’d say Magneto favorite assists are drones, cold star, missiles, tatsu, and weasel shot
Very nice! I’m def gonna have to use that (the iad mb)! Does the iad mb seuence stay active enough to full protect the drones call? I suppose as long as the mb comes out, it prob doesn’t matter since it causes so much stun. Retract that question lol
I just played my first set with ammy in back and surprisingly I really felt strong with the dog. Based on assists alone, id say I decided on drones all the way, but I dunno if id feel nearly so strong with sent as I did dog, and I really like sent!

I’ve been playing Mag/IM/Sent for the last 2 weeks too. Repulsor Blast with Magneto is amazing especially the corner IAD MagBlast reset tech. I think it’s his best assist if you are already complimenting Magneto with Drones.
IM is like, on Dr. Strange levels of hard to play though.
It’s not a pushblock glitch. its just that the windows on pushblock are huge, and high blockstun moves get fucked.
Here’s a common doom setup you can abuse this on.
Doom does fh foot dive dash cancel down forward into a cr.l
if you block the footdive but not the low
you can still push block and get out of hte combo starter.

What? I didn’t know you agreed to help out since you had problems acquiring a capture card. Anyone else with a capture card want… no… you need to help out since your also a part of the Magnus community. Remember, this tutorial is to stop all new players from asking the same questions over and over again. If new players are still asking the same shit, then we have failed. I played sehmehnov yesterday and he hit me with launcher jH adf jH Magnetic Blast L, call Doom assist st.S jH adf jH jS (missiles hit) Hyper Grav H stS MMHS. which does like 540k for anyone whos playing online and is tired of getting fucked in the ass by lag.

I can help with the capturing for this, … However I can’t cap stuff that will go for to long (like character match ups) as I may not have much free time.
Also is the composer going to use raw clips or is it ok to post the videos on youtube and they download them from there?
If not then we we will need a site to upload the captured footage.
Lastly, I hope the composer who is dealing with the clips that their PC can handle the HD clips should they be dealing with raw footage.
