that’s awesome because even with my execution that shit is hard for me to do consistently. i believe it’s one of the core combos most magnetos should learn because it can lead into some really really good damage

Yo, let me get this off my chest. Fanatiq was looking strong as fuck at St Valentine Massacre but I not gonna lie, I was laughing my ass off when he played justin in the finals. The first two matches his magneto got face fuck because justin was spamming Felica’s fullscreen kick and Frank’s assist. Both of these moves can be beat if you use force field but fanatiq tried to shockware and got face fuck. I guess I’m the only magneto player in the world that knows this tech because nobody else uses that godlike ass special move. I’ve did my research on ever character in the game and also every assist in the game. I even posted a little bit of FF tech in the threads. WTF do I need to do in order get other Mags users to use one of the best special moves in the fucking game?

Actually I know what to do… :smiley: three easy steps.

Step 1,Obtain dick rydaz. yes, dick rydaz because that is the only way to change something in this world.

Step 2, Make a video showing off every possible situation vs all characters and all assist starting with the most used teams.

Step 3, Make a thread on SRK named ā€œThe Forgotten Techā€

P.S. Please don’t take this the wrong way. This just shows how much passion I have for the Magnus community. lol, I’m just being real. I never see anyone use force field. And for the people who think FF is trash I swear to god I will prove you wrong.

Force Field is godlike for antiprojectile. shit negates almost every projectile in the game other than supers. that shit fucks morigan clone bullet hell shit if you’re careful.

FF also works at the beginning of the match. Walk up to do a throw and buffer a FF. Throw will lead to combo. Tech will lead to FF which can counter H mashing and assist calls. jump gets hit by st. H. :slight_smile: for anyone who wants to know :smiley: also, anyone of you mag players planning on going to seasons beatings/Toryuken?

So I gave Magneto a whirl for the first time yesterday. Magnetic Blast is the shit. Seriously.

Edit: Mind you it’s just Disruptah, Mag Blast, call chris to SMG + DEESRUPTOR, fly around and Mag blast, Task Vert arrows so you dont jump and have more Disruptah.

Seeing them helpless for a free combo after a grab is hilarious. It’s like ā€œno! no! don’t combo me!ā€ and mag’s is like ā€œBitch, no. Shut up and get combo’dā€

Also. I’m a scrub who likes to win be timeout and be annoying, What should I learn first with Magnus?

crazy thing is I’ve been trying to add this to my game I think it’s reaaallllyyy underrated too, it is awkward to use it at first but besides that IMO its pretty damn good

I really feel the need to point something out. I should trust that the seasoned Magnuseses in here already know this but I see this mistake waaaay too commonly even by top players.

When you air-throw someone at any height there is no reason to fly to continue the combo. You are adding in unnecessary gymnastics, and increasing the chance of dropping the combo (both by the possibility of screwing up, and just by taking longer than necessary to hit them before the rocks fade). After the throw air-dash down-forward and whiff j.:h: on the way down, then dash forward on the ground and do whatever (c.H into whatever perhaps). Even at the peak of super-jump height this works with no issue.

I can’t see any reason for what I am seeing on these streams (except maybe to tag on a j.S for extra damage at the start of the combo?).

Also I have a question for you guys. How useful do you think ADDF with a plinked Magnetic Blast (so you follow right behind the blast to the ground) is? The motion isn’t an issue for me and I like how much space I can control with it, but since the Blast doesn’t hit overhead it doesn’t seem very effective in actually opening someone up. I do however sometimes use this as a fake overhead when very low to the ground but I don’t think it’s very effective at this either since it’s too fast to react to the fake anyway.

hi avarice :slight_smile: ive been trying to use this a little more as i saw filipino champ use it, but im pretty sure that with this, you are never meant to actually hit them as the magnetic blast doesnt hit overhead. what i can say is that this gives you a ton of frame advantage on hit and block that im pretty sure other normals will not. the motion is still a little strange, but it lets you go in with a little safer than with an S, and you should be able to follow it up with a low, throw, or overhead :slight_smile:

You bring up some valid points there. I tend to do the same shit when I’m not thinking clearly in the match.

On the topic of the magblast though, can you tell me how exactly you do that? I’ve only been able to do this once and I can’t remember how ><

just airdash down-forward and do the magnetic blast. has to be done kind of fast though to get the magentic blast out

Yes this, best thing about it is u can fire off of any direction IMO mag blast is going to be the reason why he would move up in the tier list, it’s really that good of a move
