I am having the same issues. I’ve gotten halfway decent at fly loop though! Mag blast still a WIP…
Also what are some good teams/assists for magneto? I don’t really want to play sentinel. I’m hoping I can make wolverine and magneto work but I’m not sure who’s a good third.
perhaps a tatsu assist + attract/repulse/grav would set up some nice things.
Dash down faster. You have to make sure you hit the H on their feet. Just keep practicing, you’ll eventually get it.

Hm. I’ve been holding off on lab time, but I did “find” something out the other day.
Basically, I’ve picked up Doom and heard MarlinPie explaining his max height off of TAC and how you cna’t air dash any higher than that. THis basically exists off of any launcher. at a certain point, you can’t exceed that height. I took this and I applied it to magneto.
What this means, is that you can actually use Air Dash UpForward j:h: with magneto, instead of using dash forward, to get 2 more j:h:s and finish with Air Disruptor xx Tempest. (ender ony in corner, ofc)
The setup is :S: > high j:h: xx adf > j.
:h: xx Fly > j:l::h: xx aduf j.:h: spam > j:s:
it’s just a small damage increase, but you look like you’re doing it on x-factor, and it is, after all, damage. Combine this knowledge with TAC combos for a bit of extra damage.
Okay in order to make this video complete I need to buy the dlc characters. That is pretty much the only reason why the movie is taking so long because every other character I’ve done already.

Yeah I was there. Fanatiq has the best working Magneto IMO even if I don’t agree with his combo choices (although the 2x ROM into fly loop is pretty nifty). His hit confirms and conversions are out of this world.
How do you guys consistently get down the normal jump ROM? The cLMHS jH adf jH normal jump jH addf jH dash under st.S into fly loop. (I mess up in the bold part)

Ok i just switched to a stick and i would like to know what is the technique used to do mags fly fierce loop. I could do it on pad but I cant seem to get my fingers to do it on stick. Are u stick players actually hitting L and M buttons at the same time then heavy or do you guys have a L+M button mapped? Btw im using button config B.
Its pretty free lol the only ‘rom version’ I can get doen 90+% lol. just remember to do the normal jump forward and addf parts immediately.
edit - not sure if this would work but don’t see why not, but wouldn’t this be better?

I don’t see what that has to do with Fanatiq being or not being the best Magneto. Besides its not like Justin’s bad with that team. He took a WNF with it and even beat Combo with it iirc.
Yea, thats what I’m saying his hit confirms are just ridiculous. I do wish that we would try some Magnetic Blast combos, but I guess the ROM is just burned into his muscle memory by now.
