What Air said. Just get used to raw tag combos with Dante and you’d be fine. Try to catch Otavio and base your Spidey+Dante combos on what he does.
Trying out Spidey/Vergil/Strider probably the lowest HP team I’ve ever used but so zipping around with strider is so much fun and Vajra seems like “nicer” way to hold people down as apposed to missiles zooming all over the place, also once I get this dang kara sting on lockdown I can easily get ~700k combos that end in crawler assault in the corner so vergil can go crazy with swords for the kill.
I’m not really confident with my doom yet but I really do feel doom is spiderman’s best friend. What do you guys think? Any clean or stray hit leads to 800-1000 damage with any variation of spiderman combo. The only tricky thing is the j.s crossup in the corner but even that is second nature after a while.
Are you talking about the web zip xx j.:s: cross up when missiles are OTGing? If that is still a little inconsistent for you, you should try whiffing a j. instead. Raoh said that it works better on all characters, especially the big ones that actually get hit by the j.:s:'s.
i’ve been using j.:h:. seems easier for me. i’m also not landing before i do j.:h:. i’ve just been doing webzip j.:h: as i am landing after my j.:h::s: series
my team is spiderman with chris and iron man. great zoning team, and both assists give spidey great mixup tools. i have some of my older synergy clips here on how they work together, and some youll see chris and iron man helping spidey out. there is more to come, i see a lot in this team!

Spidey with Jean? Good idea in ultimate? (Doom in the middle)
its not the greatest. you want an assist that helps with the neutral for spiderman. spiderman/doom/xx will kill a character with 2 or often 1 meter. but if you have phoenix you’re not spending the meter to kill them, you’re leaving them with 100-200k left. not something you want to do. so if you aren’t gonna kill them in 1 combo. you’ll most likely base your gameplay around TAC to doom, or web throw resets to kill. but even then, you will still have a tough time getting a hit with spiderman.
Don’t forget the TAC fakeout with Spider-Man. He can staircase just like Magneto. It may not be much but if your opponent mashes out of TACs(or tries to) that reset will kill even Taskmaster without using meter. I actually really like Spidey/Doom/Phoenix even though it has it’s flaws. I feel like it could be explored further.
Hey spider fans, I want to make a secondary fun team of spiderman, ironfist, and nova (doesn’t have to be in that order). I got this team from my son who watches “ulatamate spiderman” in which spidermn leads a team of nova, ironfist, powerman, and some other chick that I forgot the name of. Anyways, I was trying to think of some strategies, assists, team orders, ect to make this team work. Perhaps something like crumple into hard tag spidey we throw loops? Idk any ideas to make this fanboy team work?
Any thoughts on Spidey Viper Doom? Specifically Spidey/Viper. I like the DHC synergy that they have but their assists don’t seem to useful for one another outside of using viper’s seismo for a relaunch or a web throw extender/ultimate web throw reset. Anybody used these two together and have any tips?
your going to need dooms beam assist for viper, missiles is buns for viper i feel. I use ironman beam just cause its easier to hit confirm with spiderman. If you looking for max dmg i get 800k with unibeam they should work with dooms beam also. Happy birthday combos ending with thc is easy kill. Spiderman has hard happy birthday combos so its always good. Theres no safe dhc so its pretty hard to get out safe. Im looking for ways to safe tag. Air web ball to down back zip tags. If there in my face maybe mash dem cr l to raw tag lol if viper hits the raw tag im pretty sure viper can combo after. I gotta go test that. Im getting bored with this team and thers not much broken stuff with this team. Its too fair. Idk maybe you can find some stuff i dont know about and make this team more broken.
Yeah, if you use spiderman doom you gotta use hidden missiles otherwise there’s no point unless you actually want to use doom anchor. Its not spiderman and doom that are best friends, just spiderman hidden missles.

Yeah it is. But the main point of having doom on your spiderman team is the extensions you get off hidden missles. You also get the benefit of having a decent character in doom.
Yeah beam assists help spider-man a lot. Plus if you have Doom second then you get those TAC combos and DHC synergy, and since Doom is second they would be afraid of your TAC’s, so you can do the TAC reset on them. Plus, like you said, Doom is a great character. Hidden missiles isn’t the only reason why Spidey and Doom are considered best friends, but it is definitely one of the best assists depending on your team.
You should only use missiles if you have a better neutral than plasma beam on your team. If you’re worried about damage there’s always a TAC option which you can fake out with the reset and the double TAC.
The fake TAC requires a long combo for HSD to pick up, allowing for the meaty reset. Double TAC needs to have a combo ending in ideally, :h: web swing to pull off. What I’m looking for at the moment is a combo that could set both TAC baits up. I already have some stuff in my pocket but they use assists on my team to pull off and they still need a bit of tinkering.
I use the Double TAC a lot if I started the combo with a spider-sting, but only if I can’t kill them with one meter.
Something I’ve noticed about that face TAC reset is that if they block the meaty j.:h:, I still have a chance to get them in another combo because I can just zip down on their head.
About that combo that utilizes both TAC baits, how would it work? Would you save the ground bounce, then do a :h: web swing (where you can do the Double TAC or just spike them down and continue the combo), then OTG with an assist ->spider-sting~bite into the fake TAC or real TAC?

[1] Either Double TAC or continue the combo. You could also do a TAC but cancel into airdash and spike them down. There wouldn’t really be a point though, it would just give them an opportunity to break the combo.

I’m still working on it. Hawkeye’s triple arrow assists allows you to get sj properties at normal jump height if you do c:h:+assist :s:. The opponent will get hit with arrows before they get launched, you can follow up with an IAD and work from there. This shares the same idea when you do missiles OTG then :s: xx TK :h: web swing or before you land, catch them with air :h: web swing while missiles OTG. Iirc, MameSpider did this on stream already.
