The ULTIMATE, Friendly-Neigborhood, Spider-man Team-building Thread

So i’m trying to pick up a new a second team. What do you guys think of Zero, Spidey, Ammy? What assist would compliment Zero well? I was thinking his Web Zip move? Anything else i should know? Also I have resets w/ zero that can lead into the ultimate web throw for a guaranteed kill lol.
I am also thinking of Ammy, Spidey (web swing) and dorm (purification). This team is my favorite out of the spidey teams i’m trying to work on. Would spidey or ammy be better on point? W/ ammy i can easily get the UWT reset using slowdown install. Also if I have Spidey on point should I have dorm second w/ purification? I was thinking of using purification for otg situations w/ spidey and also for air control when moving through the air and maybe some tick grab setups or pushblock setups in the air. Also ammy in sword mode w/ purification allows her to get more of the forced ground bounces. Thanks for viewing and let me know what you guys think.
Also don’t know if anyone knows this but you can get 1/2 more actions in the air and an extra air dash w/ spidey if you cancel his SRK move w/ the web glide move. Also if you use the web glide move starting on the ground you can get an additional air dash too. Maybe this can be useful for evasion and more mixups w/ assists and turning back using the webswing move in the air :slight_smile:

Hey guys. Does vajra do anything for spidey or is strider better left on another team? I play a lot of xxx/doom(beam)/strider and I was wondering if spidey would do alright in that spot. It seems like a solid team just because if spidey dies I still have my main duo left, but sometimes strider gets snapped out and my team order just gets ruined. Vajra keeps them on the ground which seems to benefit spidey, but I can’t do much else with it. Does spidey depend on a better lockdown assist?

i run spider doom strider. picking up otg after vajra is difficult but that’s not the point of the assist, the point of the assist is that you can call it whenever and use it for free pressure

What are the pros and cons to running spidey w/ purification or dark hole assist from Dormammu

Edit: Also i don’t know if this has ever been point out but in the corner on hit spiderman can cross over the opponent if they are hit in the corner by dark hole. Maybe some tricky left/right mixups can be done as a reset on hit or something.

I’ve recently created a team of spidey/haggar/akuma but my ineptitude with haggar has left the team slow and Inaffective against faster teams. But I’ve been thinking of switching to spidey/hulk/akuma for better mobility.

Or spidey/akuma/doom for the beam or missile assists. Does anyone that plays these Characters efficiently know the drawbacks? Is missiles Manditory for spidey?

Missiles assist isn’t mandatory, it’s just too good to pass up because it ticks up all the boxes for Spidey’s assist needs. However, missiles don’t work as effective for the other members of the cast so you will have a limited number of decent picks.

Haggar and Gouki in one team is quite redundant assist-wise if you’re going to use each of their best assists.Hulk has pretty good synergy with Spidey’s supers (not sure if it’s as good the other way around), has somewhat of a safetag with gamma quake and tsunami, can extend combos and provide a bit of neutral with wave assist and is also good with missiles. I’m not sure how Hulk and Gouki would work but I’m pretty sure you already have an idea.

I was thinking of running Spider-Man/Deadpool/Shuma but I’m not sure…I even tossed around the idea of Cap/PP/Dorm.

How well does spidey/deadpool/iron man work? Any other suggestions on who to use as anchor?

I love IM and power to you if you can learn his stuff. He’s awkward but worth the hassle if you play smart

I’m running spidy(web ball)/viper(hammer)/doom(missles)

This team is a mixed bag for me, sometimes it wrecks, but I’m having such a hard time against zoning and turtling for spiderman, so he ends up being a wasted space on my team most of the time. What character/assist can help me open people up and get in safely from a distance? I’m thinking I might need to swap viper to slot 1, since she has stronger options, but I usually like to save her for X factor lvl 2 or 3 since she has team sweeping potential. I guess I’m looking to swap doom out, even though I like him too much, but I don’t feel I’m getting the synergy I need. I guess I could toss viper also, but I feel like she is too strong to drop.

If one of you guys picks up Shuma, I´d go with Doom missiles in the third spot. Shuma is awesome with missiles, can easily ToD in the corner and gives Spidey one of these 1m+ combos. Definitely a good team, I´m learning Spidey at the moment and am a long-time Shuma main, so I know my Shuma stuff.

Drop the missiles and go with beam. Missiles only work good with a team when the first two chars benefit from it. I don’t think Viper gets much out of missiles compared to beam and I’m sure youre using seismo to extend Spidey’s combos anyway.

Dark hole is probably Spidermans best assist for setting up incoming mixups. Forces most characters into situation where they have to block.

yo Airborne, i know its been a couple of days but how did you like facing my Spidey/Stark/Hawk team?

Lol, god, I’m having a hard time remembering how that match went… I like the team a lot, but the issue is that you have to end every Spidey combo with an exchange, a hard tag into Iron Man Smart Bomb xx Proton Cannon, or Crawler Assault to get the most out of Iron Man behind Spidey. You seemed like you were playing it well from what I remember though. I’ll have to play you in some more games though, lol.

i dont really bother me too much end my combos with crawler assault instead Max Spidey, i think CA does more damage. The only time i REALLY have to for that exchange is when i get a confirm after the iron man assist, but if i can save my iron man Repulsor assist for the otg corner. Also, there is way to connect MS into proton cannon but you have to delay the hell outta dhc so the cannon will before the character hits the ground, the timing is iffy as hell, but i’ll stick with crawler assault

hi, i’m new to SRK but have been reading this thread for quite a while, as for my spidey team i’ve decided to use spidey(web swing)/Ammy(cold star)/xx, now i’m deciding what third character i should pick because i decided to drop doom because doom is starting to bore me, now should the third character be one of spidey’s BFFs cause all i’m looking for is to replace doom with another character

honestly if you like ammy you really should be playing spidey/doom/ammy just to have the doom/ammy thc. if you dont like that then there’s any number of characters who still likes support from ammy like magneto, vergil.
