I guess but web ball isn’t really the best in my opinion. You can jump over it and it’s not that much of a threat, web swing you can’t just jump over and it can be hit confirmed off.

Quick questions. How many Spider-man players are actually actively entering tournaments with him. What region do you enter tournaments at the most, and what’s your team?
I feel like the only Spider-man player on the east coast going to tournaments. Been going to just about every Major I can and Rashaan is the only other Spidey I’ve noticed. My team has been Spidey/Storm/Akuma, but I’m trying Spidey/Hawkeye/Doom. I enter most tournaments in the D.C/Maryland/Virginia area, but go to majors a lot. Will be going to Civil War 4 and a few other road to Evo tournaments.
It would be cool to walk past some Spidey play and notice the player based on his team comp. I believe DanielRGT played Spidey down in FL, but not sure if he still does. And I know a couple on the WestCoast.
i’ve been to 2 tournaments in toronto this year (top 8 in both). i think i entered something later this month, they’ll probably put me on stream this time. also i have no excuse to not be at toryuken.
i play spider man/frank/doom (beam). when ultimate came out i put frank second because i love dead rising, wanted a cheap assist, and so whenever i have two meters i go for easy mode thc enders because i play this game at a super braindead level. also they have gimmicky level up synergy i guess.
kept doom because i liked him and knew how to play him and he got buffs. switched from missiles in vanilla to beam because fuck missiles. also renhoff plays this team too he is one cool dude.
That “easy mode thc ender” is pretty damn helpful for when you get a happy birthday midscreen and can’t carry it to the corner or when you get a happy birthday that starts with a Spider Sting or Spider Bite.
As for me, I haven’t started my tournament career with Marvel yet, but I plan on freeing up my schedule over the summer so I can go to a lot of the Arcade Legacy Ranbats in Cincy and level up my game with the chill-ass crowd there. I’ll be trying to head my way to Seasons Beatings: Summer Session too, which I believe is on Cinco de Mayo (which is the weekend after my finals, lol).
I’m still stuck with Spidey/Frank/Nova, due to the liking I’ve taken for the Spidey-Nova synergy. I’m considering picking up Nova/Spidey/Taskmaster or Nova/Spidey/Hawkeye again to deal with MU’s that I’m less confident against, such as Morrigan-Doom. I could always get my lazy ass to start learning Magneto or Dante again, but Magneto will have to wait until the summer and Dante’s combos are so boring that I end up straying from what I intended to do and drop it from confusion, lol.
I’m trying to go to more tournaments, didn’t want to go to Texas Showdown due to multiple reasons (didn’t want to skip some Thursday/Friday classes, didn’t want to spend $60 on venue fee… mistrust of Planet Zero lolol). I’ve been to some smaller tournaments and just didn’t perform well. I have noticed lots of flaws, some general, some specific, in my gameplay that I’ve been trying to work on, and I think I am getting better.
I’m basically completely unknown in my region, and I’d like to change that… I haven’t taken a game off of Jan in the two sets we played, and the one time I played Mihe was the first week of Ultimate and he beat me with a ghost rider team -_-
I think I can definitely be the best Spiderman in Texas. It’s been a while since my last tournament but it also seems that no one knows how to play Doom in TX as well as I do lolol. I have matchup inexperience and I need to play more, much more!
We get tourneys here in Brisbane once every 3 months except during autumn. I joined 3 tourneys for UMVC3 got top 9 for the first two, then top 6 during the last one. Had only offline play during tournaments and had to juggle playing a little while doing my master’s degree and work. Quite a feat if I may say so, considering Brisbane is the Marvel capital of Aussie. Hopefully, once I finish my degree and get a better job, I plan to go to other major tourneys in Syd/Melb. Haven’t seen any Spideys play here so I’m probably the best. LOL
Stuck to doing locals in Winnipeg, Manitoba (Canada). Every tournament I use my team of Spider-Man/Hawkeye/X-23 – can’t imagine not playing Spidey and X-23 (been on 'em since Vanilla day 1) and I was hype for Clint since his announcement trailer and dat theme.
Made it out of my pool in EVO last year, managed to do the anti-Phoenix tech too 
Still played IM on my team back then, hahaha. I feel like I’m a much, much, much better player now though.Plus, Spider-Man has an amazing friend in Clint now too. But I won’t be able to make it to EVO this year 
Last year of school (dat degree) and limited funds have kept me grounded this year, only gonna do local tourneys until I hopefully scrounge up enough for Canada Cup in November or maybe T13 if I get the money in time (flying in Canada is hella expensive same amount to fly to Calgary, Toronto, or Vegas). In between locals, I’m an XBL monster :3 it ain’t perfect, but it’s something…
Hopefully this game still gets play in 2013 so I can do more work at the next EVO I attend.

My main issue is that I keep finding more and more stuff to explore, so I am too caught up with that to write out my findings lol.

Just started messing around with Marvel again. I really wanted to use Spidey/Deadpool/Dorm, but just wanted to get other people’s opinions. I was using the Katanarama assist to do UWT resets (though it doesn’t seem as good as Wesker’s OTG). I’m finding that using that assist with Deadpool almost isn’t worth it, because I’m particularly fond of the Deadpool DHCs after MS. It’s just that I like Deadpool’s playstyle better than Wesker.
Should I try experimenting with another character in the second slot, and if so, which one should I try? Hell, I’ll try anything (except for maybe Albert).
The dead pool spiderman syngery is almost min existent. You get a sub par assist (although workable) and a terrible DHC for escape and combo extension.
A huge thing for me as a Spidey player personally is I really want a DHC spiderman can use to get out of. I was using hailstorm to safely bring in storm and get Spidey out and catch assist, and at least make Spidey safe on some guesses. (CA, etc)
Now with hawkeye i get just about the same thing with the exploding arrow super and it feels good to know someone has spideys back in bad situations.
