Yeah you actually are supposed to tag before the assist call, I just mixed up the order in my post.

And I sort of found some stuff to help me too. Been watching Lintlikr1’s vids. The guy is awesome lol

Ive been experimenting with liberation assist recently in my doom/dorm/sent team. Im convinced it has untapped potential. Fchamp has also been showing it off recently at fgtv house too. I like how creative it can be. Realistically your not gonna get more then 2 fully charged liberations in one game ( unless theres some secret team built for it that is still undiscovered). but why its so good is that one succesfull use of it will usually mean dead character or/unblockable stuff with 3C etc.

So I’ve been considering switching out trish for dormammu on my trish/sent/akuma team, how do you gentlemen feel dormammu would fit on a team like that? I know he works well with sentinel but I haven’t seen a lot of people run him with akuma. What do y’all think bout the team?

It does have potential. Spencer dorm inescapable command grab setups from that 300 frame grounded move involving spencers grapple assist is sweet. Stole idea from that Lintlikr1 guy where he did the raging demon setup lol. Imagine what people can do with command grab stuff. I see people doing awesomely cheap stuff that gets better and better. Zak Bennett for example.

Yeah that guy played Wolverine/Dorm/Shuma. Does dorm have any good synergy with Shuma? Mystic ray assist for Dorm seems very nice.

I am considering Dormammu for my Chris team. it would be Chris Dorm Strider. what assist would be best for Chris from Dorm? I like chip damage.

I figure Dorm’s Stalking Flare would be a good DHC from Chris to him to get Chris out, charge spells, dark matter (call Chris Gun Fire) teleport, nonsense.

Yeah Chris would cover that criteria of having a screen filling hyper that protects Dorm when you dhc into stalker flare. Just make sure you let chris fire the upward shot to stop any attempt to punish the stalker flare with a teleport or something.

I’ve done something like that on accident with Dormammu but it wasn’t an unblockable setup. I placed a flaming carpet to tag in Zero, but my opponent jumped at me to try to hit me and get rid of the carpet. I think he jumped a little to late so I was able to tag in Zero and he got hit and landed on the carpet giving Zero enough time to recover and combo of the carpet.

How about trying Purification since it helps cover the area in front of you? Dark Hole doesn’t seem to help Chris much and Liberation…well, still looking into it though having 2C1D as an assist for Chris = way too much chip.

I’m wondering if Dark hole grants enough time to tack on a Flame thrower actually, then I can just end it with Land mine or sweep combo…

well… there’s Chris out on point. does grenade hyper DHC Dorm’ss stalker flare, charges spells tag Chris, do chip damage?

I figure Dark matter (call chris) teleport will do well for me as Chris’ gun fire is just slow enough to force a guess

I actually tested Chris/Dormammu/Strider in the lab before. Regarding Dark Hole, it’s slow to come out if you OTG with Chris after a long combo.

Regarding DHCs, charge 1 or 2 spells during Stalking Flare, then tag Chris back in and try to chip.

Ok so If I land a long combo crM, H, f+h S m h xx magnum (ground bounce) crM S M M H S call dorm dark hole crH(otg), throw Fire nade flame thrower and xx land mine when they start push blocking. That should be good chip after a combo.

I wonder how troll worthy 3x Creator would be for Chris. They cant jump. six seconds of chip for chris.

I think I’m going to stick with Dante and mix in Dorm depending on the opponent. Chris being a good battery should make for good chip synergy with Dorm though.

I agree, just recently started playing Dorm. I’ve found a use for the Liberation assist empty, lots of cool stuff when he’s charged too, but the empty-find is what makes me most excited about it!!!

Well, I also use Skrull, so my ideal scenario is to otg them with Skrull air d+h and call dorm (liberation empty), it will combo forcing a unique air recovery, which works VERY nicely with h elastic slam (air version). Since the preferred otg to follow is another air d+h, it gives opportunity to rinse and repeat as it counts as a reset.

Which one is liberation? I keep hearing about it lately. What can it do?

Liberation is the assist where dorm comes on screen and kinda explodes. It changes depending on how many charges dorm had before he was tagged out. It has always been considered far too situational to be practical(since you had to tag dorm in, get a bunch of charges and then safely tag him out to make the assist worth while) but if he isn’t your main neutral game assist I can see how people can find applications for it. The biggest issue though, is how useful it is when it has no charges, which is what people are tryna find out at the moment.
