Great stuff Serephin.
Now everyone on my team can do it, yay.
I’m imagining a Dorm Team. Point hits , TAC to Dorm, Build 5 bars. Mor/Dorm/HM sounds really scary. Dorm can shoot 9 flares with 5bars/ morrigan assist doing 1.5mil in chip during the string. With xfactor and killing the first character that might be a whole game unless they use their xf3 immediately, and then you burn it out with meter.
If you hit that bullseye the dominoes will fall like a house of cards. Checkmate.
Morrigan gets extra points for being able to airdash cancel her aerial exchange. Firebrand could also be good because he’ll just reset you if he doesn’t get the TAC off. Karsticles is going to be one happy man, haha.
Only liked for the Brannigan.
Oh and the stalking flare set ups.
When I try it from a down exchange I can’t get the first jump loop. They always flip out after jump A.
Been at the zoo today with the gf and had no time to look for the infinite, but thanks Jiji for putting in the work for me lol. It was pretty much what I was thinking though
Shame I can’t have broken stuff for Wolv/Iron Fist from this…
Edit: Glad Dorm can do his from all TAC directions. Still, after like 30 mins of practising this quietly with the gf next to me asleep, shit’s very hard to get down initially.
I’m not sure what you mean by Firebrand getting the reset off a TAC break. I’ll honestly never use this. I’m an online warrior and there’s no way I could trust this game’s netcode to do something so finicky. Firebrand ToDs anyway, and I have tons of meter when I play.
Dorm TAC infinite can be done on any side, just confirmed
They also all work midscreen just need to adjust the set up. This infinite is all based on your ability to land that falling H. I personally can’t get more than 2-3 reps after 2 hours but I can see somebody mastering this if this is around for months
Yeah, I was only able to get about 3 reps at the most.
The infinite fits in with my current team set up, I just can’t seem to land the j.H just right, event the first one
Well it isn’t easy, you’re going to be at a different height each time you go for the H depending on how high you were when you TAC’d, whether you TAC’d up/down/side, midscreen or not, and the H’s startup will be different depending on if you’re close to them (the initial under swing bit hits asap) or further away (the forward part of his H swing hits which is later on in the H’s active frames). You’re pretty much connecting the H on the very frame which you’re landing, and with all those variables it’s not easy like say Mag’s infinite.
Not sure if it’s a true infinite mid-screen yet, gonna test it some more now.
I’m still fooling around with my Strange/Dormammu team and I’m considering adding Akuma for his GTFO assist. I know Strange isn’t really the best battery, so I don’t want him on point and to benefit from Akuma’s Tatsu assist, I’d rather not have him on point. What do you guys think of Dormammu on point with EoA/Bolts & Tatsu backing him up? How is he as a battery?
Can we get a vid for the side & up TAC infinites for F Champ & Masta CJ?
I made a thread with the info for it here
There’s transcripts there for every TAC option, if they can’t get it from that then dayum.
Thinking about picking up Dorm for the liberation assist with him in second slot. Im unfamiliar with dorm. Is there a way to get charges stock in combos without using them? Spencers first so i was thinking when dorm gets out there, stock combo without using charges, to chaotic flame or stalking flare to dhc back into spencer and i would have spen back in front with the charges stock. Whats the top number of charges you can get in a combo? Any link to a good vid or something?
Ask FlyingVe about Firebrand/Dormammu/Dante. With Dormammu on the Liberation assist, Firebrand can perform a variant of the snapback loop that will kill 2 of your opponent’s characters off of a hit. I think you have to kill your opponent’s 1st character with a DHC from Dark Fire -> Stalking Flare, then charge up, call Jam Session, tag FB back in, and go for an unblockable. From there, combo, snap; then Liberation, unblockable, combo, snap; and finally Jam Session, unblockable, combo. It’s pretty good since you also get Jam Session to use in the neutral game if you so desire. It’s probably the best team that actually uses Liberation to devastating effects instead of just a gimmick.
I actually run spencer/dorm/dante. I had to split dante and vergil to two teams. But that setup is sweet. I figured jam session is a way to charge stocks and i was finding different combos and setups with different stocks . Nothing near as gimmicky as that though. That is some real shit lol
This doesn’t sound like it works all that well in practice. You say call Jam Session and then tag Firebrand back in, but you can’t tag until the assist ends, so it doesn’t matter if you call Jam Session. Seems pretty unsafe to me.
What would work is a variant of my unblockable on incoming characters that I like to use:
- DHC Dark Fire to Stalking Flare to kill a character.
- Charge 1D2C or 2D1C with Dormammu (still not sure which I prefer).
- Liberate as the next character comes in.
- Cancel to Stalking Flare.
- DHC to Luminous Body.
- Call Dark Hole and go into Firebrand’s unblockable.
Outside of XFCing into an invincible hyper, it can’t be avoided. If the opponent chooses not to block the Liberation you get the same result as if he did. My team always has excess meter, so the meter cost doesn’t matter to me.
I thought he meant call firebrand in after snapback then call jam session.
