OMG They have KOF XI at Troc as well as NGBC! Chunkis if this is your doing then your a G! Now we just need CvS2 being replaced by SvC and one of the A3 machines by GGXX:Slash.
they have kof XI eh, gonna have to pay there a visit
alot of people still play arcade games, i think the vs cabinets has made a bigger impact than most people thought it would
new and more interesting types of cabinets maybe what the arcades of the future needs
Couldn’t believe it when i saw KOFXI there last week, been in a few times to play now, great game.
Haven’t played KoF properly since 98 though so bit anxious of facing human competition.
Troc’s good now, the VS cabs are nice, it’s getting me back into the scene a little.
KOF XI is the shizzle !
Oswald is awesome :nunchuck: and Shion is sex ! :lovin:
Magaki is a pain in the ass tho :arazz:
just a silly question but has anyone actually EVER had someone challenge them in the Troc?
I pop by sometimes after an evening out (11pm ish, thursday or friday night) and play through a KoF or the CvS machine they have there. By the time you get to the boss there are a few chav kids watching but nobody actually presses “2p Start”. Ever. Even if you say you dont want the other credit you put in.
the only machiens that ever get business are the punchbags or the racing game cabs, it seems.
I get challenged all the time. You are playing wrong game, clearly
I get challenged most times i play, there were loads of people playing XI on Monday, around 5-6pm seems a good time for comp
Yeah just come down on Friday or Saturdays around the same time (5-6pm onwards).
Are there any scottish people intersted i playing a few games of whatever.
go to Californialan.com
they host scottish Halo tournaments but i end up playing random beat em’ ups with my mate.
And incase you were wondering it’s held in East Kilbride
I’ve been lurking on Shoryuken for a while now. It only just occoured to me to actually look for competition. I know, stupid.
So, it’s nice to see a lot of UK players are about =O I’m from Scotland, myself. Edinburgh in particular. I can’t really say I’m particularly good though - I play third strike and I’ve dabbled in GGXXR and SF2: AE. I have a decent understanding of how the games should be played, but with lack of competition I am, of course, lacking in actual ability.
Well, I’ve not read this whole thread, but I’m certainly checking out (and signing up) to hadoken.org.uk
So, uhm, I’ll get talking to everyone more soon, I guess!
Hey guys. I’ll be studying at University College London for a month, from early-mid July to early-mid August, and I wanna see how the scene is there. Anyone gonna be around to get some games in? I play Third Strike and to a lesser extent Super Turbo and CvS2. Should I bother bringing my stick, or can I borrow someone’s? Or do people play in arcades? Let me know soon.
Bring your stick if it’s not too heavy, but Third Strike is in the Trocadero. Check your PM’s for more information.
what’s the name of that arcade near Goodge Street Tube station. and does anyone know if it is still open?
It’s called Casino and yes it is still open. Does not have 3S but does have Alpha 3 / VF 4FT / T5 DR / SF2: Anniversary and quite a few others.
Cool how bout Play2Win that used to be by Virgin Megastores?
So what’s up, is there gonna be an E-Zone session for UltraDavid or what?
UltraDavid hasn’t sent me a PM to reply yet but yeah if he gets in touch we will run a few things whilst he is here.
Hey guys. I’ve been tramping through Italy with my family for a while now, and I haven’t had internet access until today. I’ll be in London from July 10 to August 9, and yeah, I wanna check out the scene. We leave this hotel tomorrow and I doubt the next places will have internet access, so I probably won’t be able to get back to you guys until I get to London, but just post when you want to play and I’ll be down. If possible, I’d rather it not be Friday or Saturday nights, since my friends and I will be checking out the bars and clubs, but honestly we’ll probably end up going out every night anyway so it’s not a big deal if you want to get together those nights. Anyway, see you guys soon.
Well, I’m here a couple days early. Where is the Trocadero located? Can anyone give me directions from the metro?
You want to take the piccadilly line to piccadilly circus, then there’s an entrance within the station, just follow the signs and you can’t miss it.
