^^ahh, that’s too bad man. I kind of had the same problem but I know some peeps down there and one of the local guys is letting me stay at his house so that means I can go for the weekend.
If anybody else is thinking of coming, I should be in troc pretty much all evening on the friday before hand, I’m sure we could have a mini get together. :tup:
abhi, I don’t think there is a ‘troc’ thread as such but It has been discussed loads in other threads, check out the link chunkis posted and If that’s lame, post a new one. It would be great to have a a contsantly updated thread letting people know what’s actually going on with new cabs/games/shitty sticks etc.
I’ve been in touch with my family and I’m definatly coming down. They’re pretty busy for the next couple of weeks and my uncle is coming up here in two. So it will be very soon after that. I’ll be down for at least a weekend, mabe even a week if I can, although I’ll have to spend some time with my family as expected, but I should be able to get enough time on my hands for some decent games over at the troc. I’ll let you’s know when it will be.
Hey guys! Yesterday I got to play Neo Battle Coliseum (with zero competition) at some seedy underground arcade in London (it’s nearby the Oxford Circus train station, the arcade has a sign that says ‘Casino’ at the entrance). On the surface it’s fucking great; a 90s SNK fan’s wet dream and the best game SNK’s put together since the bankrupcy.
Have there been any other NBC sightings in the UK?
They got it in troc on a vs city cab, I played one game, it seemed ok but what would I know I’ve never really been SNK. I Just used Mai n Terry (cvs2 knowledge lol). NBC at the troc has a fucked up config.

do you mean goodge street casino on tottenham court road? thats seedy, underground, SNK friendly and has a sign saying casino outside… I know thats a fair walk from oxford circus, but I cant think of anywhere that meets your description… reason I ask is cos I live about 2 minutes (literally) from goodge street casino, and if they have it Im going to allow uni tomorrow and go bust out some NGBC…

Oops I got Tottenham Court and Oxford Circus mixed up. Yeah it’s the Goodge Street Casino and NBC’s in the bottom floor with all the other fighters. It’s using the 6-button setup Bassventura’s talking about, but it’s better than nothing. Play that shit now!

nah Im at Kings… some manz are at city uni and a couple at UCL… I was meant to be doing a module at RH as part of my degree but I ended up not doing it.
I was actually going to post a sarcy remark about the thousands of NGBC machines recently released into the thriving Yorkshire fighting game community then thought better of it lol… and then Megalo posts and says he bought a cab… that’s sick. How many cabs do you have man?
I played the game yesterday against CPU, arcade was dead except that black guy who seems to play ms pacman 24/7. The engine seems quite choppy. What I mean to say is the fighting lacks fluidity and a lot of match ups seem to be very repetitive. It is such a colourful game though, and seems a lot of fun in a Marvel kind of way with a lot of fun ‘new’ characters like Marco. And it’s so cool playing World Heroes again, despite Mudman having such a broken dive kick (on a side note, developers should latch on to the fact that Dive Kicks are nearly always abusable in every game). I’ll give it a game again at troc friday evening, I may get into it more. Is an English Language PS2 version going to get a release?
Awsome. Do you live in the UK? If so, how much did it cost you to import on of your cabs? I’m concidering saving up for one, but if freight costs are stupidly high, then I might just get a supergun.
