Just sign up to the local forums as well. There’s no reason you can’t be at both.
SRK is all good for tactics and general chat (SRK will prolly remain the best resource for SF tactics, as Tekken Zaibatsu is unmatched for tekken strat/knowledge), but local sites are better for local topics… e.g. meetups, gatherings, tournaments.
All we’re saying is that the UK scene deserves more than just ONE thread on srk forum, it needs a whole forum in itself.
This stuff doesn’t really belong in Fighting Game Discussion (in the past a lot of the americans on srk eventually got sick of all the UK-specific talk at one point, lol), should be Matchmaking/Discussion and since there isn’t a European/UK Match Finder or APEX forum on srk… I think you know where I’m going 
All the time I was at cornertrap, I never quit SRK really (even though I was never a heavy poster in the first place).
But I still come here whenever I wanna learn a new character (sic) or rinse some new internet tactics blatant.
So chill, no one is telling you to pack your bags and leave SRK. Just join and add another forum to your list, to chat with UK heads
Yes the forum is new, and right now it’s pretty bare… but hopefully that will change very soon.

is it worth going to troc if you’re only an average-ish player? or would i be better of practising at home till i can beat CvS2 with one hand on the hardest setting?
Troc dont have cvs2 and practising against cpu on any 2d fighter is not really that beneficial. You wanna be getting out there and challenging, even if you recieve a beating you will still learn something and gain some experience. Repeat this again and again an you should start seeing the reults providing you are always learning from your mistakes and learning new things.
Raju, are you the asian guy with the blue Urien like in your avatar? Last week I was watching two Urien players trading games with each other for about 30 minutes and both of them were unbelievabley good.

Yasser: most of the players are safe, they will just play, but if you got any questions after a match or whatever then i’m sure there is no harm in asking. Good luck! Also if you meet up with chef at the angel arcade for any 3s then i might pop by too, although chef is right, they do need to replace the sticks.
Golden_Gunman: yeah it might have been me (I play with that colour), but you say last week and I know kelvin and Indrian were there too so it might have been them. But they are not brown skin asian like me though so I dunno which asian you mean. Err but either way I would not say that any of us are ‘unbelievably good’ though lol.
Ok well the guy i saw was there with a far-eastern guy who was his friend too, although only the asian guy played. I liked the guy’s style because he charged in as soon as he had one stock of super and cancelled into the reflector to get frame advantage. Obviously that is a good tactic with Urien anyway, but he did it a lot, rather than turtling and saving it for the corner unblocakble, which is admirable 
. They looked about my age, so about 18-23, probably uni students who like me prefer playing 3S than studying for a degree.
