Hey, I’m gonna try to make it to UCLA on Wed (or Tues/Today if I’m lucky) and see if I can talk to the owner. If I can convince him to let the workers set the machines to “Event” mode, and post flyers, we might have a tourney next week. This isn’t official in any way but if I can get the Ok… You see where I’m going with this. :rock:

I believe the dude in charge is Guillermo? His office is by the elevators … ask the person behind the glass for him.

I’ve talked to him before regarding purchasing an old street fighter cabinet (which i never follow$d through w&th). He was really cool in answering my questions and everything, even made print outs for me to look into. What I did was, I looked up his email on the my.ucla.edu website…then i introduced myself through email (“hey i’m a ucla employee interested in…”), then he wrote back with a meeting date.

I can’t make it, it’s my nephew’s first birthday Saturday.

Maybe in 7-8 more years, I can teach him how to play CVS2. He’ll be like “2D??? this sucks!!”

There are some people around during summer, but there won’t be as many as usual. Random scrubs wander by every now and then, and the regulars may or may not show up at all depending on their summer plans…

Yeah, i’ll be around, like around 12-1pm in the summer, and I can try to give you some comp in 3rd Strike (Hugo/Yang) and a little Tekken 5 (King)…

I suggested either Thursday or Saturday, ith Wednesday…but that’s me and I know some of y’all have class…

I was wondering if there was ever any mvc2 competition down at ucla on weekdays. I’m coming down to visit a friend at ucla on tuesday and was thinking of heading to the xscape from 12:30-2. I’m pretty decent at mvc2 last time I went there was only T5 players and a few 3s players that were terrible I ran like a 20 game win streak.
