Woohoo, CVS2/GGX cross training sessions. I’ll b down today around noonish. I took the van in today so I can’t stick around too late tonight but I’ll probably pop in again around 4:15 or so. That inspiring k-groover was darryl (murdered the spelling). When I left he was at 24 wins. R|C, think you can top that today? If player A begins playing at 11AM and is able to sustain a constant VR (victory rate) of 12 vph, at what time would player A obtain a STV (sum of total victories) equal to 25? 
R|C, I haven’t made much progress with my GGX game so your Faust vs. my Sol would probably be a pretty good match up. Seeing how we both of us have sub par GGX games though we’ll probably never end up on the machine at the same time! 
Curse you and your numbers (physics final from 2-3 today)! Heh, I’ll probably let up sometime to give you two the opportunity. Darryl actually complimented my P-Groove despite my blocking with my face and getting hit instead of parrying and all.
Haha I usually play Johann daily in our room, however my Hori stick broke so now I use a pad while he uses an X-Arcade stick. He’s actually not too difficult to beat, but you really just have to get used to his dirty ass tricks. If he’s playing A-Geese/Kim/Rugal then pretty much you have to be aware of when they’re crossing you up since he goes for that pretty often. He’ll almost always go for a crossup with Kim if he knocks you down. You also gotta kinda have a feel for when you think he’ll roll with Kim since that roll seems so damn fast. It’s pretty easy to rush down his Geese if you maintain constant pressure. Rugal though can be tough depending. No advice really for that…beware of random RC run grab I guess?
As for 3S, I dunno. I only started playing that like about 6 months ago but yet I think I’m better at that game than CVS2. Although it might because when I first started, within the first month or so Antonio repeatedly just beat the game into me. :xeye:
damn man, i’m a designer…haven’t taken a single math class during my whole duration at ucla !!! numbers are my enemies…i’m having enough problems learning tekken5 notations…d/f 1+2, ws+3 !!! (wtf???)

too bad I didn’t get a lot of games in with you since RC was the man to beat, but i’ll play you whenever, and if you need GG competition I play a scrubby baiken, but haven’t touched the machine for about a year (d’oh).
I guess that I would have to start showing up at Xcape for some practice on CvS2. I haven’t play it to much but I still got some skills in it. When are you guys going?

Come anytime, people show up weekdays from 10am - 3pm roughly, maybe staying a little bit later or playing slightly more on fridays.
It would be great to have more people getting interested in CVS2 around here, we had a bad dry spell for a LONG while ever since SiN left (2-3 years ago?), then (mumbling japanese guy) -> Nakano left, some more regulars left as well. Shaolin left, and of course Ernest (Yumi Saotome) used to play 24/7 and he’s gone too. I’m missing some names, but the point is the arcade wasn’t doing so well for a while… it seems to be picking up again.
People used to come from fucking OUT OF THE AREA for UCLA CVS2 tourneys… but now no one really gives a flying fuck.
How about we get together and throw a “Back from the Dead” Xcape tourney. It probably won’t have too many people but if its posted and we get the regulars, we’re looking at 10 people minimum. CvS2, 3S, GGXX, and MvC2. How about it?

Hey, I’m gonna try to make it to UCLA on Wed (or Tues/Today if I’m lucky) and see if I can talk to the owner. If I can convince him to let the workers set the machines to “Event” mode, and post flyers, we might have a tourney next week. This isn’t official in any way but if I can get the Ok… You see where I’m going with this. :rock:
