The Truth Is Still Out There: X-Files Returning

The one episode I really liked was the one with the cockroaches that had the cute and eccentric entmologist Bambi, who Mulder was fond of (much to the ire of a jealous Scully).

Btw, was anyone else creeped out by the intro when they were little, especially watching it at night by yourself ?

damn, I forgot about Bambi and her huge…badge

When I was little I always remembered an episode where Mulder fought the creature from the Black Lagoon in a sewer and it was kicking his ass.

Haven’t been able to find it yet when I’ve rewatched some of it.

Anyone here play the Resist or Serve game? Curious how it is since I like the survival horror tropes it uses.

you talking about Flukeman?

Early season 2 episode

Yeap! Thanks guys I appreciate it, watch that shit tonight.

The Post-Modern Prometheus is one of my favorite episodes.

kinda meh but some neat stuff for xfiles fans

Every time I watch the entire series I see something new. Whether it’s a new plot point or an actor that was obscure back then but has now hit the big time.

As many of you may know, Vince Gilligan of breaking bad fame was a prominent director for the x files. Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, and the actor who played hank were all on episodes of the x files. Other notable people who’ve had a role on the show…

Seth green
The biker dude from blood sport
Jack black
The fat kid from sandlot
Andrea from the walking dead
Jane lynch
Luke Wilson
Bobby from supernatural
Tony schalube (sp?)

As well as quite a few others.

Just started watching the series from the beginning on ep 5, they look so young! Both their acting is a bit hit and miss sometimes lol

Giovani Ribisi will always be “that lightning guy” from X-files for me. I also remember liking the FBI agent played by Chuck in Better Call Saul.

I’m surprised more people liked the monster of the week episodes more than the main conspiracy storyline. I’m on the opposite end here…I hope these episodes aren’t just some random unconnected events but something that ties together the main story.

Some of the monster of the week’s were incredible episodes though, and had some creepy ass mother fuckers. Eugene Tooms, Flukeman, Incest Family, the Soul Eater, Leonard (the siamese twin thing), Beggar Man, I could go on for quite awhile. That shit was downright scary as a kid, and amazing all at once

Hell, the Cops episode was probably one of their best episodes.

I forgot how infuriating it is that Scully always catches up to Mulder seconds after he has just witnessed the most amazing things. :weary:

area 51 staff but yeah i always remember him from those episodes

I’m only on season 1 ep 13 and I’m already sick of the monster of the week.

Is there a list anywhere that has all the episodes integral to the main story arch or just lists all the best episodes??

Some of the monster of the weeks are amazing, tho, ur missing out

Ah thats useful

I found this, it points out the mythology episodes but also states which episodes are worth watching and the ones you should skip and also the best.

That list is ass, some of my favorite one offs are on there. Monster of the week made sense with the x files since they were agents investigating the paranormal. New week new case, there are always little bits of character development or witty dialogue to go with the episodes as well. Imma jump in this shit deep and give a season by season recommendation of my favorite episodes.
