Doom would actually stomp out every mutant in the game (save maybe Jean, who has non-mutant powers), as he has plentiful anti-mutant tech; when it comes to gadgets, Doom’s only equals are Reed Richards and Batman. But all of that kind of discussion is a waste of time… Shuma could kill every character in this game (including Galactus) simultaneously and he’s been very-low-tier in the past two games.
Actually they are making her more stupid. But I digress. You dont got from god tier to crap tier they should at least let her be a decent character which I think is what most people are trying to point out. Shes going From gold to shit instead of gold to silver or bronze. If that helps.
If phoenix goes someone else will take here place as more broken so in the end it really doesn’t matter.

Look, it’s going to be an intricate balance change-- you’ve played literally one version of the game-- maybe you should wait and see how it actually comes out. Actually im speaking from experience (Mine and Others) of the current build they have playable it was the same at evo as it was at SDCC and in that version there is no reason at all to pick her unless you just like wasting a slot. Edited to add She is becoming more stupid in the fact that shes really not playable she went from way op to “el oh el look i killed phoenix with a combo before I even got to do a Gamma wave.” I dont main her I dont like her as is in game because people including viscant use her as a crutch anyone who says otherwise is lying to themselves. but she does not need to be completely worthless. Edited again to respond to 4Bidden Strider and Firebrand both look to be a bunch of bs. Firebrand even more so than strider.

Even with Phoenix getting nerfed, other characters are getting buffed and 12 more characters are being added. Way too early to be bitching about anything like this. There could be a new Phoenix team setup that makes her derpy to the point that you just can’t do jack shit.
At the end of the day, Xbox Live is still going to lose to RRC’s Dancing Girl Squad.

Phoenix is WAY more powerful than Dormammu. Look up Phoenix Force and you’ll see how strong it is.

I agree with this. Even nerfing XF3, Phoenix and DP is just too much in one characters.

DP without XF is still quite fearsome because the space she controls as redrapper says.

Not True but not wrong either. In our plane of existence they would have a very good fight which she would win after a long drawn out battle. However he has his own universe and within it she would be destroyed. this is one of those fights where it really depends on where it took place. Side note Shuma Gorath would Destroy them both and then get owned by Thanos.

Dormammu can destroy Galactus. Dormammu just can’t fully manifest himself.
Thanos destroyed the entire universe, and can destroy Galactus, Phoenix, and such.
Shuma can destroy Galactus, Phoenix.
Hell, even Hulk if he is angry enough can destroy Galactus. Anyone with reality altering powers can destroy anything.
Marvel’s most powerful enemy AND hero has always been Thanos.
Yes she is, but seriously smart nerfs will make her balanced. These nerfs are stupid and doesn’t fix any of the problems. Health is not why Dark Phoenix is OP. And from watching most of EVO, D. PH doesn’t even need to take to the skies for mix-ups. In XF3 she can chip you out extremely easily. This is from a Phoenix player.

Dorms been diminished recently hes at like 3/4 strength outside of his realm. Still pretty bad ass but he’d have a tough go with the phoenix force or galactus. In his realm different story. Thanos > all = Facts.
