Not really. Its mostly the fact that the game degenerated into a massive turtle-pokefest near the end of its lifespan thanks to step-guard and 2G. Also because of how Xia dominated the rest of the cast (being easy as hell to play with didn’t help) and how Yung Seung sucked.

Really? Last I heard, i thought Jedah and Anak owned up everything, then followed up by the ninja from WZ and Ryu… then everybody else was useless…
Top tier was Jedah, Anakaris, and Karin. Next up were probably Leo, Kenji, Urien. Then everybody else. Like MSH, there wasn’t a garbage tier. Everyone was halfway decent for the most part.
According to Maj, in the end it turned out quite balanced even if Jedah and Mummy were tops.

No, please, just no. Tokido tearing it up with Sean doesn’t make 3S balanced all of a sudden. If we went by your logic then I could name people tearing it up with Lei back in T4, and Lei was hot garbage in T4, but that doesn’t mean it was a balanced game. Chunli’s worst match up in 3S was Yun, outside of that, she had a boat load of 7-3 match and 6-4 match ups with even 8-2 match ups! How many Evolution tournament results did we have that resulted with 3+ Chun’s in the Top-8 for years? Too many to count.
The gap points between the best character in 3S which was Chunli to the worst character which was Sean is around 70 points which is huge. Now compare that to Vanilla SF4 for example to where the gap differential of Sagat to Dan was only slightly over 30 points. I know you <3 3S, but to claim it was a balanced SF game, when during the height of it, Chun, and Yun ran the majority of the tournaments. History and nearly 95% of the tournament results has proven 3S to not be balanced.
What I want to know is this. How in the world do you people claim ST is more balanced from the SF2 series, when in actuality, SFII:Hyper Fighting is easily the most balanced Street Fighter game of all time. The only character within that entire list who had problems winning was Dictator. Outside of that everyone was viable, and was winning tournaments. HF Ryu is still the most balanced #1 Top-Tier character from the SF2 series without question.
Were you actually there to have seen A3 when it was in its prime? A-Sim, and V-Gouki ='s GG.
So balanced was MvC1 that the best players playing this resorted to nothing but Duo-Wars vs Duo-Wars out of the entire cast. With Strider, Wolverine, RV as being the few other selected characters. Roll was terrible in this game, don’t know what MvC1 version you played.
Ask Mike Watson about Guy back in the days when Alpha 1 actually had heavy competition.
hence the reason why tsoe actually should have been rebalanced. the balance in this game is crap even though its still the best sf gamer to date. thats a heartbreak.
hf is still the best version of sf2 seriers imo, most fun and def most balanced.

its not about the game getting a balance,. were talking about which games have good balance and which dont, ts balance is one of the crappiest in any game. nothing more nothing less.
My point is that 3S keeps coming up in threads all across SRK for not having a rebalance. It’s not getting one. That should be it. People are still whining about it.
