3s rebalance discussion should only be done in a 3s romhack or the 3s rebalance thread. Otherwise, talking about it is just thread derailment.
how is itthread derailment in a thread thats about game balance? ts is a game with shitty balance, and thats whats being said here. everybody knows there is not gonna be a rebalance (which in itself is bs already, but we get it). in short, people know ts is not gonna get rebalanced. and at the same time most know its got one of the shittiest balance in fg history (which in itself is horrible cause most of the better sf games have excelent balancing).

This is a thread about balanced games, not unbalanced games. We know 3S is imbalanced, some of us even like it that way. No need to keep posting about it here.
3S isn’t getting rebalanced because Capcom knows the playerbase doesn’t want one.
P.S. Some other SF games have it even worse. 9:1 matchups and shizz. Also, balance doesn’t always make the better game. Look at MvSF, balanced yes, but boring as fuck and considered by many to be the worst of the series.

I lol’d. Has Karate Champ been listed yet? It’s still a fighting game if not an incredibly dull one.
I remember the last version of Eternal Fighter Zero (Memorial) was pretty balanced, tiers exist, but everyone can win tourneys… the Japan tourneys that i saw in Nico Douga of course.
Doesn’t give you an excuse to go in to your usual long ranted tirade about how 3S should have been rebalanced for OE. Especially since alot of OGs don’t want it rebalanced.
I’m guessing the only reason BBCS2 isn’t up is because of popularity reasons. There is no decisive 3:7 or worse matchups even for the “worst” character, which is in C-tier. Everyone has one main and no one counter picks really because of the balance.
It’s because there are better, more balanced games.
Like Vampire Savior, that game hasn’t been mentioned enough.
VS is a great game, I can agree. I saw a lot of people vouch for it already. But I always though it was more of an aggressive and dynamic game than a balanced one (which works out nicely for the game.) This is an old matchup thread I have and you can confirm for me if it is still right.
I gotta give it to the Virtua Fighter series. I never felt that there was anyone in that series who was dramatically stronger than anyone else. You could make the argument of Akira’s SPoD back in the VF4 years, but that’s a major stretch. It’s a shame Virtua Fighter never took off as well as Tekken did. Many of the things that makes Tekken interesting (ranking systems, character customization, arena strategies, etc.) originated from the Virtua Fighter universe, imo.
Virtua Fighter 5 gets my vote.

your argument doesnt make sense, a lot of og’s do want a rebalance and a lot might not want it. if you really wanted a worthwhile answer if og’s wanted rebalancing than it shouldnt even be about american (or even european) og’s in the first place. last time i checked japan was head and shoulders above the best americans, meaning you dont even have the right to talk about game balance when your not even on a level where it even matters. and above anything else, id take an opinion from a real pro thats actually got the skills over you (jwong and other “top” players). your opinion doesnt mean shit, you dont like mine than good for you.

the exact same right that it gives him obviously, if were talking opinions that matter than both of ours dont. same for you probably. if somebody like jwong, daigo, kuroda or anybody else that actually plays this game at the highest level would say the game doesnt need rebalancing, even if i personally wouldnt agree with said person id at least respect his opinion cause hed actually know what hes talking bout. and at the same time i doubt a a player like that would just devalidate your opinion just cause your not on their level. unlike some other people here who are not even on that level to begin with.
LOL at the scrub defense of “so-and-so top player says so and so,” just because the majority of the player base you interact with doesn’t agree with you. Face it, majority of the 3S players here (many of whom have been playing the game from day 1) are fine with no rebalance.
As shoultz has stated, a 7:3 in one game is different from a 7:3 in another, especially when you consider the more subjective style of Japanese tiering (which, sometimes does not involve pure win/loss ratios). VSav we can say is balanced by the simple fact that bottom feeders like Lilith and Mummy can consistently win tournaments.
