And that is what people call unbalanced. Cause not everyone is nearly as viable.
Yes, players can still win. If it’s not 10/0, they always can.
But it speaks volumes when you see the gap of top/bottom and we call this ‘the most balanced fighter’
are you aware of that there it not a true balanced game?
or are you arguing for the sake of doing it?
6:4 is an acceptable dissadvantage, and if a game of 23 chars have 22 that are viable for tournament play, im pretty sure that we can say that it pretty balanced, specially when said 22 chars dont play remotely similar between each other
hell GGAC had every char represented on the last sbo, and more importantly the most popular wasnt zato or testament, it was faust
When there are clear top characters and bottom characters with such a gap, I still say there is a problem. Number of representation of said characters is another issue as well. How these 6-4’s are scattered matters as well.
And yes, I did make the point that there is not a ‘true’ balanced game due to the nature of fighters.
Comes in topic, sees Third Strike on the list
Well now
leaves topic
Lol. SRK-Trolls bitch about 3S’ balance, then they bitch they don’t want to see them game rebalanced.
Make up your mind fools.
Just because its imbalanced doesn’t mean people don’t like it. They’re just facing facts. It doesn’t deserve to be there imo. “Rebalancing” can fuck it up even more.
Yea. I mean, me and my brother were capable of some pretty stupid stuff when we tweaked the system direction in an attempt to make every character Gill status.
i like how all posters are the same people with the same opinion
Show me a 100% combo done in a match. (A real combo, not one that involves also hitting the puddle unblockable against characters who have reversals, making it a 50/50 mixup)
Was there any Marvel game more balanced than MSH, because I keep hearing a lot about MSHvsSF. Any opinions?
MvSF was balanced to the point of boredom.
As for MSH, I believe Maj mentioned that alot of stuff that has been found in it has never been tested competitively since they were found when it was no longer being played competitively. So we’ll never know for sure.
as much as I hate superslowfighter4AE, I think its balanced.
alpha 2 is balanced too.
AE is balanced?
ae is actually pretty balanced. yun and fei might be a bit too sterong, but even they have their harder match ups.
you just made the case as to why its not balanced. just because a character has harder matchups doesnt account for characters who were made too strong for the point of being strong. its just bad game design.
but the case for the rest of the cast is that they are far better balanced than the were back i super or vanilla. only yun and fei are over that balancer, and only just a little too much. i dont think they are overpowered rto the point of being unbeatable. theyre still fare game though a bit overpowered.
AE is balanced…
[details=Spoiler]Compared to 3S.
But then again, most games are. But that’s part of why we like 3S.[/details]
All in all, Capcom’s been doing a better job with balance than they did 10 years ago… but where dat Vampire Savior balance at?
Part of me is thinking that VSav’s balance is a fluke. Most Neo_G designed games seem to have clearly defined, dominant top tiers as well as bits of abusable BS and shenanigans.
EDIT: Actually, on hindsight, VSav likely get’s its balance because it’s a tightly designed game with less abuse-able gimmicks and less bugs.
no, thats actually the biggest bs in the game i cant stand about it. sf3ts is the best sf game ever made simply for the game system and the amount of skill needed to play. its the true evolution of the sf series and makes sf4 look like ass. there are no easy wins, you got to work for everything. that is, unless you play chun and to a degree yun (who needs more skill to use, but when you got the skill hes op like chun). the worst part about sf3ts is the balance and that theres a couple more characters that i would have liked to see in it. thats the only thing sf4 series has over sf3ts imo, better balance and a larger cast. everything else is better in sf3ts. oe could have at least improved one of the original weaknesses from ts and done it in a fast and cheap way. its just that capcom fanboys rather take anything capcom says and does up the ass. because we all know capcom cant do any wrong.
funniest thing i sae about oe is that they were saying rebalancing would take a huge amount of time and resources, bs. they could have made a rabalance far easier and cheaper than that, because in ts the game system is as important as character match ups (like in kof basically) unlike the sf2 and 4 series where match ups determine almost everything.
funniest thing about oe is just how easy the rebalancing would have been, cost lots of money and time my ass. giving chun 1 bar for sa 2 would take billions of yen. having geijin fill slower but deplete at the same pace would take trillions. dont even wanna know how much buffing sean would take, probably all the moey in the world wouldnt be enough./sarcasm.
