Doberlord was a badass. Thundercats: Dogs Of War. Good shit. Kinda messed up that even though the only time Brett Booth’s art is actually good is when he draws anthro characters (Thundercats, Kindred II), he insists on trying to draw humans…his females always have the exact same proportions, while the guys look like slender, muscular sissies who are ready to burst into tears, or constantly look like they’re pouting. Go figure.
i have a feeling this is newest episode signals when the show will get onto the track it wanted from the start and just gets awesome
and mumm-ra turning into Space Sauron? this is acceptable.
When Mumm-Ra and Lion-O both donned their armor all that went through my mind was “BUY MY TOY!!”
Followed by “WHY AREN’T YOU TAKING MY MONEY?!”
I’m legitimately looking forward to a 2-set of the characters with their space armour.
That was a hardcore plot device. It’ll probably never get explained, but yeah, really random how they were pulled into Third Earth.
BWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
OMG. I have the Kindred graphic novel and I looked through it again. Damn if what Rhio is saying about Booth’s art isn’t dead on!!! Grifter and Backlash both look like Ken and Ryu clones. damn. Doberlord looks like the baddest dog in the pound though. Maybe he’ll make an appearance? LOL @ the materia slots on the claw shield. You know Yuffie is gonna swipe that shit. One of my angriest moments in RPG history.
-Starhammer-
Love the look on Lion-O’s face when he was randomly pushing buttons the first time.
I liked this episode a lot.
Who knows, maybe that moon actually turns out to be the Moon Star of Limbo.
If he’s in the cartoon I hope he’s voiced by “Cedric Daniels”:

This, seriously if those All-Powerful form toys don’t get kids to buy the toys, I dunno what will XD.
Oh and Rhio2k, mind recommending good TCats comics? You seem to have read a few.
I was thinking that…
There’s not that many, but what’s out there is okay. Thundercats: The Return* was pretty sweet, as was Dogs Of War**. Then there’s Enemy’s Pride***. And there was some Eagle Riders/Gatchaman - Thundercats crossover that took place on modern Earth that I honestly didn’t like…cuz I don’t like Gatchaman. Art was decent. You can either find some 'rents or buy them at Amazon in trade paperbacks. Or both. I ain’t judging. I bought the monthly individual issues, then a couple years later, torrented…cuz for the life of me, I don’t know where in 3 closets of comics I put these particular comics.
*Mumm-Ra fucked with the Book Of Omens just before Lion-O entered it to learn everything he could in 5 years about his culture from the collected memories of his people’s greatest warriors and leaders. He was supposed to only be gone a moment…but Mumm-Ra’s spell negated the time constriction part of his journey, so that same 5 years passed outside the book as well. The mutants and Mumm-Ra had taken over and enslaved the 'cats, it was implied heavily that Cheetara had been routinely gang-raped by the mutants, and Mumm-Ra had taken Wily Kit and Kat as his personal servants. Lion-O now has to use his new abilities and skill to fix dat shit. Wilykat turns traitor under the control of Mumm-ra during the final battle and exiles himself.
** Takes place after The Return. Jackal-Man’s people (he’s not a mutant.) come to New Thundera, and they are pros at the old capture and conquer game. They capture Lion_O, and the remaining Thundercats flee for their lives, in order to rally and mount a rescue, with the help of a newly-returned, and much scruffier WilyKat…and Mumm-Ra (!!), who Kat understandably hates due to his mind controlled shenanigans in The Return. Lion-O meanwhile organizes an escape with the enslaved leader of the saurian warriors the dogs are using as foot soldiers.
***No connection to The Return and Dogs Of War. Old-school continuity. Panthro suddenly starts acting odd, then downright traitorous, challenging Lion-O to a duel for leadership…and winning.
Thanks you, sir will look into them =)
well Mumm-ra’s tank from the previous episode felt like that too, but armored mumm-ra was a step above that
damn it looks cool.
and mumm-ra’s fights also felt rather like video game boss fights. he’s got the area of effect blasts and pattern spam lasers and now even more forms. the past two episodes he’s been totally Castlevania Dracula, right down to the good old BEHOLD MY TRUE FORM AND DESPAIR
now i just want warner bros contract to Arc System Works to make a ThunderCats fighting game. when they’re done with persona of course.
You know, for all the animals they had aboard Mumm-Ra’s ship there were very few, if any, females. The implications are unpleasant.

Spoiler
no chetarah in 22 min… im very very disappointed
Sheeeit, this was another great episode, imo. The final showdown with “The Duelist” was quite nice, and the lazy sword-smith that just “goes wherever the wind blows” was an amusing, charming character.
