The Tekken 6 Thread - December 08 for PS3 JPN port, no info on US/World

Asuka WILL WIN, just you watch! (denial)

The old standing 2 is her df+2 now. Still works really well after sidestep.

Is it as fast as the old 2? df+2 seemed like it took forever to come out in DR.

Yeah, its i15 in 6 whereas df+2 in DR was ~i19.

same here.
hmm I may pick up King…

Oh thats cool! One problem…I have no clue what you are talking about lol. All those abbreviations hurt my head, but if they not changed too much then thats good to hear. Why they have to change Julia man damn whats up with that? She was just fine in Tekken 4:shake: (still the best Tekken in my book)

Isnt Miguel supposed to be really good aswell?

I see him dominating on japanese match vids.

yeah his mid game is purretty good :wgrin:

I can see myself very much playing leo.

he seems ok so far. nothing great.

oh one thing- match videos do NOT do the stages justice. seeing the backgrounds first hand = instant erection.

d/f+2 was indeed slower than her old 2 and I believe it’s now 15F.

Just like some other characters, she’s better than her DR self because her combos are better.

Plus her sweep is a lot safer. Non-launch punishable in fact.

Still fairly fun to use though.

lmao

that game looks like shenanigans, i like how you kept spamming that “let me play dead move”

i might play this tonight

that is all

anyways, is it me or that Leo seems to me to be a better faster version of Julia :wgrin:?

You know that is preposterous. Just kidding but I thought the martial art she knew was the same as Julia. I remember reading somewhere, when T2 came out, that Julia knew the same art as Wang.

Played over at PZ today.

The backgrounds in the game are amazing. The detail in the characters is good, but it isn’t a huge jump over VF.

Zafina is probably the most interesting new character. She had a lot of weird and hard to read moves with her hands. A few moves are obviously designed to kick her skirt up, but what would a fighting game be without something like that? She also has the creepiest win pose I’ve seen in Tekken. Crawling towards and then away from the camera is just weird.

Miguel seems boring to me. He does have a lot solid mids, and is the opposite of flashy.

Leo should have been left on the drawing board.

The rage system wasn’t as big of a deal as internet videos make it seem. The only real annoying part of the rage is that fucking noise it makes when someone enters rage made. For a game with a lot of explosions and loud noises going on, that fucking sound sticks out. But that’s probably just me.

A lot of my stupid Lei antics don’t work as well. He doesn’t go to PLD as fast and I’m going to have to go through the movelist again. D+2 is fun.

King’s hopkick is awesome though. Not exactly safe on block, but it seems to have a quicker recovery than it should and has a great amount of range. The d/f+4 string is nice as a pickup.

I’ll be going back on Thursday, in the middle of the day, because there is only about a 10 player wait. I’ve heard the evening gets over double of that.

GG to whomever I met there. I played Lei and King.

Put up a lil write up on T6, check it out…

Good read, thanks. But I wonder if PS3 version will be release end of the year, then tekken 6 DR should be out by then. So we will all playing the old version again.

OMG I hate america so much :bluu:

I didn’t feel $1 per game was too steep especially for something like Tekken 6. Considering Japan pays 100 yen per game and all. (in response to Markman’s article at SDtekken)

I can’t wait to try out T6 Lili. With her new wallthrow, strings, new BT stuff, and that new low, her pressure game looks to be a lot more diverse. Going into BT from a WS2/d/f2 and being jab safe is win. Also bonus - best hair in the game

yes! she seems so cooler now.
id dabble with her in DR but she also has my eye.
