The Tekken 6 Thread - December 08 for PS3 JPN port, no info on US/World

Played tonight

it was a blast

playing Miguel cold turkey didnt help me much, but i learned stuff. Its going to be long, arduous, and expensive journey, but its time to actually learn tekken.

100 Yen is basically 1 U.S Dollar, in England it’s 1 per play for Tekken 6.
Everyone is paying astronomical prices.

Yall need to be putting away some of that money so you can cop a copy of DOA.

Tekken ain’t shit really and this is common knowledge to anyone who wasn’t born in that cesspool we call Mexico North.

DOA fo shooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Make like Caesar and die.

you know what, iv’e actually had a debate with some PEOPLE on which game is more fluid and gives you more freedom to move, out of VF5 and DOA4

can you fucking believe that?

No, I don’t want to.

DOA4 is more fluid for sure, from execution to animation. In terms of freedom to move it’s definitely character to character. Ayane in DOA4 probably has the most freedom of movement I’ve seen of of any character ever.

It helps to actually play both games.

It also helps to not make blatent troll posts like Julius Rage did.

Yeah I know it’s about the same. Well except for Europe which is paying about $2 per game. . .

If we actually did have a tekken 6 machine around here I would surely and proudly waste my money in the machine.

It also helps if you spell blatant correctly, but you don’t see me jumping on your cock. Mind telling me how I’m trolling?

My last reply was misleading and sorry for the confusion. English seems to be failing me at the mo which is ironic for a guy who is half english.

My last responce was aimed SOLELY at Julius. Referring to how his post was blatantly trolling and using your quote as a reference to his trolling. Looking back at it I should have double quoted him and you to prevent said confusion but I failed that part didn’t I?

After reading it all it did come out completely wrong and whoops to that.

Oh sorry about the misunderstanding. leaves thread awkwardly:confused:

I just hope they do something about bob. watching him is like watching a retarded kid beating up Bruce Lee

I can’t imagine paying more than 50 cents to play ANY fighting game…anything above that is like…DDR money or something…EVERYONE here knows what the fuck I’m talkin’ about.

So how’s Law shaping up in this entry? He’s been lookin’ good so far in videos, but has anyone here had any hands on time with him?

Making him into a joke character just because of his appearance would be horrible.

it wouldn’t seem too far fetched to have a normal-build bob as a 3rd costum in the console version.

I think the big problem is the cost of the system. I believe Markman pointed it out on his latest topic on SDTEKKEN but the total system costs a stupid amount of money ($12,000 wasn’t it?) and I think arcade owners have to charge $1 per play just to try and break even.

Which is why I think DDR is also $1 per play usually. That and owners know people are crazy enough to spend a fortune on it so they’re laughing.

In Japan, most arcades have fighters at 100 yen a pop even though there are 50 yen arcades around too. While I would frequent the 50 yen arcades more often, I didnt mind paying 100 yen a game at times. Of course it’s a completely different country, and the economics of the arcade scene and why it thrives are totally different compared to america.

But about the 50 cents thing…I mean…we have been paying 50 cents a game for i dunno, the past 10 years or something? Doesn’t anyone know anything about inflation??

Not singling you out or anything, but I’m sure other people share the same mentality as you, and I’m guessing that’s partially the reason why Namco didn’t bring T6 out here. I wish they would have made a US version that was much cheaper and catered to the US player (with some kind of pad ports. since a lot of tekken players in america use pad…) but it’s a sad pipe dream that didnt happen

It’s all relative… + Japan USUALLY has 100 yen as the standard for new fighting games, so this is nothing new to them.

But we’re talking about AMERICA here…

Anything over $0.50(for a fighting game) is something we are not used to… (No I don’t care to hear any sob stories about how this arcade or that arcade charged an arm and a leg for this game or that)…
