…I was just at TZ where it’s been confirmed that Leo’s fighting style is, infact, Hakkyoku-Ken, the same style that Akira (VF) uses. I find this interesting but alas, what
was also said:"Looks like the TEKKEN team is running out of fighting styles and originality"
is becoming a truth. (not that it’s terribly wrong for the series)

I been also reading that Leo and Zafina aren’t the only new characters…supposedly
another 2 will be showing up. This is rumor as I’ve seen no links or otherwise. I’m guessing
if this is true, the other 2 will be male characters since they’ve given us 2 new female
characters first? I dunno…

You’re right! Sure, there’s only been one Tag and therefore it’s NOT a pattern because a pattern would require something to happen more than once, but…:wonder:

Anyone else finds it funny that Tekken and VF are almost merging at this point?

I mean three of the four latest VF characters definately look like they could have come out of Tekken’s cast. And Tekken’s last two releases have limited their new characters to two and recently started mirroring VF in other respects.

In the video it says that those aren’t the only new characters.

Just because one new character uses a style used by another character from a different game? And what happens when Namco has originality? “Lol, that martial art doesn’t even exist. Namco made it up ROFL ERBLE-GERBLE!”. What martial art was Zafina using? It’s always something. At least we aren’t getting anymore remixes of existing Tekken movelists(I pray).

Well it’s not like Sega-AM2 is original either, look at Brad (Steve design + Bruce’s Kick Boxing lol).

I believe Virtua Fighter 4 came before Tekken 4.

It looks good. The motions look smooth. The BG’s did looked a little bland compared to the colorful ones in T5. Leo looked homo but the chicks fighting style was all gypsy like and i thought that was dope.

Uh yeah…it’s in the producer’s short interview video that’s floating around on YouTube.
He specifically refers to Leo as “she/her.”
