I have watched it over and over, and I never heard Leo referred to as anything but “Leo” in there. Please tell me where he supposedly refers to Leo as a she.
Can you translate it?
Not much. I’m not fluent, all the background noise makes it hard to hear and the low quality on the video makes it hard to read. From what I can make out:
-Tekken’s been around for about 10 years. (I guess this means T6 is a sort of anniversiary thing?)
-Stages are bigger to make better use of 16:9 widescreen.
-The character roster will be the largest in the series history. There will be more new than just the 2 new characters shown.
-Customizations are more detailed, with some interesting tricks. (pictured: Bryan’s shotgun move)
-Zafina is a mysterious character with odd movements that uses scorpion style.
-Leo’s German, uses baji-quan, and is easy to learn.
That’s the gist of it. And I didn’t hear a single word referring to females during Leo’s part.
On top of that Vanessa didn’t get VT until Evo, by then T4 was already out. She had Kickboxing before that.
Tekken vs VF? Is anybody else hearing about this? Goh in a Tekken-style? I need some tissue.

Yeah I mentioned it in another thread Hmm, I would hope a brand new series tho, rather than a Vs. type thing. Those two teams sitting down and coming up with new fighting game ideas makes my pants just a little bit tighter.

Anyway just their appearance is similar, since Akira does Kung Fu and Ryu does a made up form of Karate which gets mistranslated as a real form of Karate in Shotokan. lol
She’s been Vale Tudo all along since she first entered the series. In VF4 her Offensive Stance was a “Muay Thai” stance, that’s probably where you are confused.
akira is a ripp off of fighting street ryu, look at his kung fu slippers in that game
i believe ryu is a merge of choi baedal and bruce lee, Ryu being more like choi and ken being more like bruce, explaining why ken has more stylish tae kwan do moves, and ryu being more traditional karateka, plus ken is quater cast like bruce lee

Would’ve been pretty cool if they would’ve added a create a character, since I like Tekken’s character styles for a custom character then what SC3 has.
Kaz and Jin better be extra tight in this game. And if this is the “last” Tekken game they need to do something spectacular with the storyline between them and it would be cool if the final boss was a mixture of Kazuya, Jin, and Hipachi’s devils.:looney:

Leo obviously is a commentary on how much of a bitch Lion from VF is and will probably always be. With some King from AOF homage thrown in there as well.

I think that was pretty obvious with the promo video having PS3s rigged up as well as them using Sixaxises and modded PS2 sticks.
Also Namco’s history of using Playstation-based hardware in their System ____ line of arcade boards (11, 12, 246, 258, Super 258, etc.).
