I was able play a bit last night n replicate ur problem (OS getting beat by dp). Also I was able to perform the correct dp os where u will not get beat by reversal dp.
Long story short, the problem is that you are not in the blocking direction when u perform the os dp. Just goto down back after performing os. It will be a safe jump if they do a 5 frames reversal. Ur os dp will still come out when they backdash or perform a slower reversal.
Now the detail, the landing of a jump has 4 frames mandatory freeze. If it’s an empty jump, u can block or tech throw in all 4 frames, but nothing else. If a button is pressed during the jump, the first 2 frames of the landing is completely vulnerable (hence no direct safe jump on 3 frames dp). The 3 & 4 frames is a freeze but you may still block. When u os an adon dp (5 frames startup), his dp will activate at the fourth frame of ur landing. You will be force into a blocking stance(given that ur in block direction) even though the dp input is performed and registered. Ur os will not come out against any reversal 5 frames or less.
