Still, it’s far better if what I’m about to announce next is at the top of one of the pages and given that deleting two posts just deleted page 23…yeah.
Perhaps I’ll think of something better to put here later when I’m more awake, relatively speaking, but for right now I’ll put “The End of an Era”.
First and foremost, sorry for the delay in updating.
As you may have noticed already, two posts were deleted from the first page so that I could move T20thought’s third post immediately up beneath his first and second one. That shifted everything back by two of course, which is part of the reason I was being so lazy about updating, but what’s done is done.
Anyway, all stages and videos–save for that Dashie one–posted since the last time I posted in here should be up on the front page in some capacity. As always, please look over things to tell me if I missed or erred on anything, especially since I’ve technically been up for more than 24 hours at this point.
With that said, I’m going to post a video I’ve been holding to for the past 9 days or so myself. You only “need” to watch the first 10 minutes or so if you want to get some ideas for stages. Unfortunately, neither of T20thoughts’s Wiggler levels made the cut, but his world record one of the stages played did as seen around 27:00.
(The previous two new stages are finally up on the front page. Apologies for the delay.)
Yes, people besides chadouken! and ReggieHadoken still play this presumably @Little_Goten, though of course I say this as someone who unfortunately doesn’t have the game (or even a Wii U) myself and who was awaiting either LordWilliam1234 or roknin to post a new video before my self-imposed half-week hiatus. So what do I know? Shrug.
Anyway, if you want me to put your other stages from the bookmark site on the front page, then I will, but for now I just put up the stage you gave the ID for since I’m lazy like that–you’re between King9999 and the aforementioned LordWilliam1234.
I’ll catch up on yall’s levels this weekend, and maybe make another one myself, if I have time. I still have some ideas. I do wish we’d get another update with more content to work with. Water tiles, slopes, and another theme like the desert are my biggest wants right now.
Reuploaded both stages and gave them slight updates:
Fire Fight and Flight
8B5A-0000-0278-0DF9
(added a few more tweaks and tried to help prep players for what they’re getting into. Also I added one extra key to make it slightly easier to beat so you can skip one challenge.
(Your two remade stages have been added to the front page, Infernoman, though of course I only now noticed that I hadn’t technically put the code for Short’n’Spiky since no one said anything. Ugh.)
Yeah, the utter dearth of updates is odd even if I can understand not wanting to “give away” everything even if it’s “only” among the 2D, non-RPG Mario games. At this rate, unless I’m missing some big holiday in Japan next month, which is possible, it seems like the next likeliest “big” update, if there is one, would be all the way around holiday time in December. That seems a bit (too) long.
Make sense of their contraptions, get past’em, and go bonk some Wiggler butt. Or head. Or other bodypart. Look, just take care of this problem, all right?
Bowser got in the way. AGAIN. Built a dang tower that’s too high for you to pass. AGAIN. Sigh. But wait! What’s the deal with these note-covered pipes?
Some take you to the past, some take you to the future. Make your way around time to… get past that dang tower. Hey, nobody said anything about lofty goals.
@LordWilliam1234 - Hey, nice! You did a couple of things in the Anti-Santas stage that I hadn’t thought of, but which make perfect sense for speeding things up.
Also made me realize I should’ve gone with a shroom rather than a flower in the final section of Switchcraft, since one’s able to cheese the final run if one makes it there as Big Mario. Eh! I’ll leave it as a reward to those who do make it that far without being small. Speedrun strats!
