Ok, I updated my Shroomin’ course and edited the code and bookmark in my above post. I put the second checkpoint flag in the star room to avoid getting that far and then dying, then to not have access to the stars anymore. That seems unfair. The first checkpoint will save your progress as far as coins collected.
Edit: For clarity, and so you don’t have to go searching, here are the new code/link Shroomin’

I’ve got some catching up to do concerning you guys levels.
On the creation side, I have been working on two stages for some time now. But in order to upload them, I had to remove two from the servers. So Airship Fleet and Boo’s Deadly Fortress have been given the ax.
Jumpman 3 5674-0000-0234-6CAA
This one was a long time coming. I’d always planned to make another Jumpman course and I honestly think thiso one is better than the previous two since I’d learned a lot in SMM in the past 8 months. Done in the tile set of NSMBU, this one has a single check point since the map only spans one area.
(Has updating the first post been slow for you as well, @T20thoughts? I think, over the weekend, I’m just going to take over Joshkaz’s post so that I can split things up further to see if that helps with the slowdown.)
In the meanwhile, I’ve updated LordWilliam1234’s latest video and the two newest stages posted; I pretty much had Shroomin’ updated as soon as it was posted, so I’m not counting that one. Oddly, I didn’t see the “Boo’s Deadly Fortress” one on the front page to delete; I’m not sure what happened there, but I might have just missed it, which is why I asked people to check it.
Besides that, as just said above, I don’t intend to do any major updates until Sunday at earliest. I have been meaning to post this though:
Ran a day late because blargh, life is just not agreeing with me right now. On that job search life real tough right now :’(
…er, ahem.
I now have quite a few levels to record. I’m thinking of doing these vids more than once a week, though Ninty makes it hard to want to what with EVERY vid I do for this and Splatoon being Content ID. -_-;
Neither here nor there. Just frustrated because this got flagged like, immediately lmao.
@roknin that last pink coin you were looking for is under the P switch down the hole on the far left in the area right before you go up the pipe to the first checkpoint. You actually got it by kicking the red shell down on your first play through, lol! I think you didn’t realize it because you had the volume down and didn’t get the audio cue that you had collected it.
Meant to have this up earlier today, but Windows Movie Maker kept crashing on me when I tried to render it on top of it getting stuck in processing when I went to upload it. (And as of posting this, I think it’s still processing)
Either way it’s up now, going through @“chadouken!”'s newer courses.
(Both LordWilliam1234’s and Roknin’s latest videos are finally up on the front page.)
Not much else to say except that I still need to look at witwix, still need to do further updates to the front page that probably won’t happen until this Sunday given the weirdness of last weekend, and that the answer to that Mariovania stage you got stuck, @roknin, on seemed to be jumping on the cannonball that fired while holding onto the spring. To be blunt, you seem to have an issue with puzzle levels, though that may just because you’re trying to give live commentary and humans suck at multi-tasking.
I have SO many gears turning in my noggin for new courses!
**
I had to delete Factory Tour** to make way for my newest course, which is
Cave of Secrets BB20-0000-023B-E2B9
This is the first course in which I’ve heavily played around with multiple paths. Alternate routes are plentiful in this course. This also makes clearing it short work depending on which route you take. The current world record is 31 seconds. Keys also play a big role in this course as some routes are blocked off without one. This is one of the easiest levels I’ve made with tons of power ups and I’ve thrown in lots of amiibo costumes for fun.
I’ll probably end up deleting levels to make room for more stages until I’m allowed more courses to upload. I’ve already begun work on two more Diamond Special stages but I’m having trouble beating Diamond Special 5 to upload. It more than likely won’t up uploaded until Sunday or Monday.
I’m having more fun experimenting with the NSMBU tile set. Mario’s added jumping abilities certainly do allow for a more depth and it is something that I really took into account when making Diamond Special 5.
things that changed:
-three 1-ups in the level.
-the first fire flower, which was hidden, has been removed and replaced with a 1-up to prevent the player from obtaining it and then using a fireball on the koopa troopa shell needed to pass the area with the brick wall.
if you use a fireball or a star on that koopa troopa it will not spawn again. if you jump on it and kill it thats ok. if you move far enough away from the platform and toward it again it’ll respawn.
-in the area with the skewers and music blocks that form a platform, some of the music blocks were taken out and replaced by other block tiles to make it easier to get across.
-if you fall in the area with the skewers in the last area of the level there are coins that indicate hidden blocks. you can use the hidden blocks to get to the area where you fell from. the hidden block closest to the right contains a mushroom.
-instead of three podoboos with wings there are only two.
-the door that leads to the exit is moved to the left to make it more aesthetically pleasing.
in case nintendo deletes the level because of the title, i’ve already moved a block and then moved it back and saved it so that the little upload indicator disappeared so i can reupload the level with a different title if need be.
(What’s so potentially offensive about the phrase “trap music” that Nintendo might take it down? [/doesn’t care to just “Google it”])
Anyway, the last three new stages have been added, even though @Femto accidentally put an “oh” instead of a “zero” in the last four digits of his new stage, which explained why I couldn’t find it briefly when looking at the course website. That got fixed when I added it to the front page, however, so it’s of little consequence.
Nothing else has been changed beyond ReggieHadoken’s Factory Tour stage being deleted from the front page since it was effectively replaced. I’m still behind on things I vaguely want to do and am looking into a couple of things, but right now I can’t do much of anything else, especially since I don’t actually have the game to test things.
Any news of any things coming out? It would be nice if they had stated any intentions of releasing Desert themed stuff–or at least just the Angry Sun–what with summer approaching.
