The Super Mario Maker thread - March 9th Update: Keys Finally Found

Finally beat all your levels, @LordWilliam1234

Be careful about putting actual glitches in your level. According to Reddit posters, Nintendo’s been removing levels that use glitches.

That’s…surprising. They’d have to go through what, millions of levels?

I just had a level deleted because nobody was playing it. It was the 1-4 Remicks level- @T20thoughts you can go ahead and delete that from the first post. I guess it was a shitty level :frowning:

I’m not exploiting anything Nintendo can stop anyways. All you’re doing is getting hit and then jumping back onto Yoshi. Nothing more.

I think he’s referring to levels that have the invincibility glitch caused by entering a door during the last frame of invincibility from getting hit by an enemy. They removed that glitch from the game, so any level that exploited it can no longer be beaten. Your level should be fine, since it’s just using an intentional mechanic.

Ah, I see. I was only aware of the block glitch which was very dumb on expert mode.

(Block glitch?)

Very well. I’ll remove that particular level of yours from the front page, @ā€œchadouken!ā€. Couldn’t you just re-upload it in theory though?

Apparently everybody hated it ;( Even so, I’m assuming I’d get a new code for it if I uploaded it again. I’ll spend some time on it this weekend and make it awesome first.

Haven’t spent as much time with the game lately but have finished a metroid-style puzzle/exploration stage.

ā€œEVO-Trooper M & The Biotower Xā€ : 9D51-0000-00F3-C803

If any of you guys play it, I’d love feedback. Let me know of any trouble spots or anything you enjoyed in particular.

I’ll play yours if you play my Mariotroid level

awww yeah, I’ll play it tonight!

Dude, your levels are insanely good. Like, some of the best, most thought-out courses I’ve played so far. I have to go out, but I’ll be playing through them tonight.

I really appreciate that. I played Mariotroid and that was the best Metroid level I’ve played. I bought Metroid this past week and have been playing it for the first time - your course is very faithful to it. I really liked the little touches like the donut platforms to stand in for the destructible blocks in Metroid. Also, the presentation was great.

If you check out my Mario Maker profile, some of my uploaded courses are my brother’s and friends’. But all the ones I share on here are mine.

Your list of uploaded levels is a goldmine of Super Mario Bros. For real, everything is good on it. I just spent several hours playing through and still have a bunch more to go. Bravo, man!

About to give this a try now, vid might not be up til next week (or later this week, depends on how much recording of other stuff I upload, XCX taking over lol). :smirk:

Will check out this other list of levels as well, I am intrigued. :open_mouth:

Can you delete my level ā€œLostā€ from your list please. I’m not totally satisfied with it.

Here it is:

Completed T20’s Power Switchcraft and Dungeonman’s EVO-trooper M and the Bio-Tower.

@roknin - Ahhh, dang! You completely skipped the last section by bringing the P-switch up

Granted, you did have to do one extra step to make that happen. But still, fooey. I should’ve put in one of those P-switch airlocks I stuck in the Wicked Wiggler stage. Not that it’s necessarily a horrible thing to be able to ā€œcheatā€ like that…

By the way, that section you were struggling at? All you had to do was drop the POW block BEHIND you on the conveyor :peace:

I also only watched the beginning of Evo-Trooper M, and I should remind myself to play it once I’m out of bed and back from work.
