I’ve added the video in boom!'s post to the front page even if those people come off as rather…stoned to me.

After a bit of a break, I gots inspired again. Wanted to try a water level this time.
The Waters are Abuzz With Rumors - 1000-0000-00E8-25A4
A puzzly level using those flapping Buzzy Beetles, and putting stuff on’em. Shouldn’t be TOO taxing.
A picture!
Next video will be all about LordWilliam (for real this time lol), but in the meantime I gave some of the Event Courses a whirl if you guys are interested in checking it out.
I plan to try to make a couple levels over my Thanksgiving break as well. Looking forward to scaling power-ups and actually having restart points. :3
You’re joking, right? Trying to keep Yoshi and big Mario seemed damn near impossible. Although I did find a cool trick to complete it. One, I’m not sure if you intended it or not.
So when you get on the track as Yoshi, I would take the hit to make the buzzsaws go away. And Yoshi would stay suspended on the track. Thus enabling me to keep him for the entire duration of the level.
Working on a SMB3 stage titled Giants on Ice! Don’t know when it will be completed but I figure if I tell people that I’m working on something it will motivate me to work on it consistently. After I finish this one I’m going to attempt to get started on Michael Bay. Not entirely sure If I’ll be able to pull it off or even if it’ll live up to what I want it to be we’ll see what happens.
I’ll be checking out your levels Sonic. I think I tried LW’s Buzzsaw Bonanza, but I can’t remember if I beat it or not. If not, I’ll revisit it soon.
But y’all need to try my Mariotroid level!
New course! It involves a glitch which I hope will be obvious to all of you.

SM3 course most covered in ice and at least 98% of the enemies are large. Everything should be workable if the person playing it takes their time…cept for right near the end. You might need to look around for some powerups to make that a bit easier. Also a fair warning…You can ignore Bowser if you want but he’ll make going through the course after him just a tad bit more difficult. And there is a check point on here so you won’t have to do the course all the way over if you happen to die.
Been a while since my last Mario Maker vid. Gonna try for at least one a week from this point forward.
All of these courses are from one of the comments on one of my vids, and there’s more to come:
Course IDs are in the video description.
This guy sure loves pixel art.
Haven’t really been hit with any inspiration for another course of my own since my Water Temple, but I’m sure I’ll come up with something at some point. Only 14 stars away from 100 though. :3
(The pixel art was nice and all, but at least two of that guy’s stages could still benefit from and be heavily improved by arrows with regards to blind drops, which is weird because he uses it over the doors.)
Regardless, I’ve updated the first post with your video, Intuitive2011’s latest stage and Sonichuman’s latest stage. Things have been pretty dead in here, however, if neither T20thoughts nor I have had to update the first post in the past two weeks. It makes me wonder whether anything (else) DLC or otherwise update-related is actually going to come out before the end of this year.
Then again, when I went back and checked just now, it seemed like news of the Nov. 4th, 2015 update wasn’t announced until a mere week before it occured, so maybe we’ll have to wait all the up until the December 18th, 2015 to see if anything is coming out. I can’t imagine them not trying to go for that (stupid) X-mas money.
I’ve been off travelling for a few days, so missed these posts. But yeah, this isn’t unexpected… It’s been a while since the game came out now, and people’s level-making muses don’t last forever.
I expect we’ll see a bump around Christmas, when more people get the game.
Yeah, I haven’t touched it much lately.
My juice for level-making is depleted currently, unfortunately, and I can’t stand playing some these user-made levels, so I’m just waiting for the creative bug to bite again.
Even if I don’t touch Mario Maker again for a while, I more than got my money back on it. Clocked in 120 hours total. And there’s always new stuff to come back to just by the nature of the game.
I actually bought it less for creating levels (I’m not really good at that aspect) and more for playing others’ levels. I’ve been forced to pace myself due to having limited time to play it (between trying to improve at Splatoon, trying not to suck any worse at Smash and following SFV like a hawk).
That said… XCX is going to affect EVERYTHING I play by the end of this week, sooooooo…
Meanwhile, finally off my 1.5 week hiatus:
Went through another of your levels LW, as well as Fire Temple again. Though you already know the results, you CHEATER :-p
Though you already know the results, you CHEATER :-p
I always check who stars my levels if I get a notification for it. It doesn’t tell me who starred them until I go into the same menu that shows which players beat it.
Cut me a little slack.
(Noted, everyone.)
Anyway, I’ve updated the first post with Roknin’s latest video. I already commented on the video itself on Youtube (and on Roknin not saying anythin about NaNiWriMo before this), though I said that I’d comment about the checkpoint on here rather than on Youtube for various reasons, so I’ll do that now.
With regards to the Fire Temple checkpoint:
[details=Spoiler]I think the best place to put it would be in (not necessarily literally) front of the cannon that shoots out the Super Leaf. It’s a bit before where a normal mid-point in the level would be perhaps, but it makes the most sense given it’s one of the few places where putting a checkpoint wouldn’t essentially trap the player and Raccoon Mario’s tail can break the wall that the P-Switch is essentially used to destroy. Besides, the first 40% of the level is geared towards trying to get the Super Leaf anyway, so it’s the most natural checkpoint you get, especially since it would then make it easier for anyone who loses Raccoon Mario to just kill themselves and restart from the checkpoint rather than spend time trying to use the springboard to get back up there. I’d understand if you feel or think that would undermine things a bit since lives don’t mean much in this game (at present) outside of the Challenges, but I still think it’s the best place.
Besides, as you (LordWilliam1234) already pointed out on Youtube, the only other “good” spot without getting the player trapped would be right before Bowser as you mentioned, though that leaves the player powerless and rather likely to die. I’m assuming that blocked off cannon is supposed to shoot out power-ups and Bowser can smash it open, which would maybe remedy that with some luck. You may just have it there to be decorative though; I’m not sure since I still can’t play; that and I didn’t make the level, obviously.[/details]
Okay, I’ve been making my way through y’all’s levels. Sonic, thank god for that hidden star in the Ice Giants course. Love the mixture of ice and large enemies. I want to build something like that sometime.
LW, I finally got through your Buzzsaw Bonanza and Fire Temple levels. Buzzsaw was frustrating as hell, but it felt good beating it. Real good.
I think Fire Temple is my favorite level of yours so far. Great puzzles, not so hard I get mad at it, and I’m partial to SMB3. Awesome design and mad fun.
I also played your I Dream of Flight level, and I think I broke it because I was able to get the feather at the beginning after several tries and it was way easy after that. I only got hit on the final red turtle on the spikes just before the end. Still awesome, and I’ll try to go through it without the feather as I believe it was intended. But since you decided to troll me by making it “impossible” to get, I decided to break that motherfucker and I got it anyway, so there.
Also, Intuitive2011- I played your Lost? level. I beat it by jumping on the buzzsaws with Yoshi. I could just flutter jump up at the beginning and it was fairly straight forward after that. Was that what you intended?

Bingo! Although I am going to update it to force people to glitch their way through it.
